This was such a beautiful hotel. My husband and I had an amazing time here! The location is perfect and super walkable. I have no qualms, they took wonderful care of us. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

During my stay at the Sutton Hotel, I had the pleasure of interacting with an outstanding hotel desk agent named Cesar. From the moment I approached the front desk, Cesar's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel genuinely welcomed. His exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail truly set him apart.Cesar went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable and comfortable. He demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the hotel's amenities, making personalized recommendations that exceeded my expectations. His ability to anticipate my needs and provide timely assistance truly made him a key player in creating a memorable experience. What impressed me most about Cesar was his genuine care for every guest. He took the time to listen attentively to my questions and concerns, ensuring that every interaction was personalized and tailored to my needs. His positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile left a lasting impression.Cesar's professionalism, combined with his warm and friendly nature, has made him an invaluable asset to the Sutton Hotel. He is undoubtedly one of the reasons I would eagerly return to this establishment. The Sutton Hotel is fortunate to have such a dedicated and customer-focused individual like Cesar on their team.I highly recommend to anyone seeking exceptional service and a memorable stay in Vancouver to stay at the Sutton place hotel

First time here. Was a great 2 night stay. They were super busy so they were a little hard to get a hold of but when we did they were helpful. Pool could use more chairs. Loved the gift shop - had so many things we tried finding elsewhere and great prices. Great location to transit station and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Check in is at 4pm not 3 like we thought. Breakfast prices were high so we ate elsewhere. Will definitely return. Felt safe and clean both inside and surrounding areas. Quiet. Very nice lobby bathroom.

Beds were super comfortable! The room was great and I had an excellent view (19th floor). I was one block from my conference, so easy to get to. My one complaint was gym hours (7 AM - 10 PM). Made it impossible to work out in the morning. 6 AM start would make more sense. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I really enjoyed the stay,

It was our first time staying at the hotel. We absolutely loved our stay, beds were amazing, the staff was very nice and helpful, everything was absolutely perfect. We will definitely recommend the hotel every chance we get. The only thing we disliked was the price. We are a young family, I was injured at work and am on disability for the rest of my life. I travel to Vancouver a couple times a month for medical. It’s just a lot of money for us. I just wish it was a little more affordable. Disability normally books my hotel, but always books very terrible hotels. I have no choice when they book. I struggle with numerous things due to my accident and need to be comfortable wherever I stay. I’ve lost use of my entire right arm, struggle walking, have steel, anchors, screws, and wires throughout my arm and my back. I also suffer from extreme chronic pain. I chose to try the Sutton so I could be more comfortable during my medical stay and had to pay out of pocket. That is the only thing that could make the stay better for me and my family. I would love to stay at the Sutton for all my medical stats from now on just not sure I can afford it. Thank you though for making our stay so welcoming, comfortable, we felt right at home. We absolutely love the hotel. Thank you.

Very nice lobby area and extremely comfortable beds were two memorable items from this place. They also gave access to swimming pool and locker room and held the luggage after checking out, which allowed us to relax and explore Vancouver little more before the late night flight. Everyone was very accommodating. I did see a mice running across the lobby late at night but that’s bound to happen when the building is wide open pretty much all day.

Terrible experience, but staff were friendly. Stayed one night in a room with a sofa bed for kids to sleep on and a bed for my wife and me. Booked directly with the hotel for $360 one month in advance for July 4 - final cost was $440 after taxes and DMF/MRDT fees, whatever those are. The room was fine. Clean and comfortable. The main issue I had was the toilet failed to flush after one of my kids went to the bathroom. We called guest services for help and they said they'd send someone up right away. This was around 7:30pm which is around the time the kids usually go to sleep. It took nearly 2 and half hours and contacting them about 8 times for someone to finally show up and unblock the toilet. Nobody answered the phone on the 3rd call so I walked down to the lobby to just ask in person, which I did for the next few times as well. The front desk staff were apologetic, and I heard them call asking for someone to help us straight away, but nobody actually showed up until almost 10:00pm. One of the times I asked if they could just give me a plunger so I could fix it myself but I was told they couldn't do that.It was really frustrating that each time we asked for help, they told us someone would be up straight away. When I asked for how long to expect, I was told it would be less than 5-10 minutes each time. It was really frustrating being told that someone was on their way when they weren't. Maybe maintenance is understaffed or had a busy night, but it really sucks being told repeatedly that someone would be there in 5 minutes and having it take almost 2.5 hours. I would have understood if they told me the maintenance team was dealing with something else and would be a while. So instead of winding down the night with a nice relaxing time at the pool / hot tub or just enjoying some quiet time with my wife, we spent the night waiting around for someone from maintenance to show up, and dealing with unsettled kids wondering when they'd be able to go to sleep since they were sharing the sofa bed with direct line of sight to the bathroom while I waited by the door for someone to show up.No offer of compensation for the trouble. My wife asked if they could offer anything and they waived our $50 parking fee. I feel like other hotels with more focus on guest experience would have done far more to make us feel valued after such a blunder fixing a plumbing issue in a timely manner, and without us asking. Not a great experience at all.If it weren't for the awful experience getting help with the bathroom and no offer of some form of compensation I'd probably give 4 stars. Location is good, lots of stuff nearby. Room was clean aside from a dish left in the dishwasher, a sock from the previous guest on a shelf in the bathroom, and some minor peeling paint on the ceiling from bathroom humidity. Only other complaint would be the AC which was very loud with a loud click each time it started up.

Having stayed at both the Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver and several luxury hotels in India and Dubai, it is clear that the Sutton Place has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to hospitality training. In comparison to the luxury hotels I've stayed at in India and Dubai, the staff at the Sutton Place seemed to lack the same level of attention to detail and genuine care for guests. While the Sutton Place staff was polite enough, with the concierge doing their best to accomodate some of our laundry requests, the in-room dining and house keeping staff often lacked the warmth and personal touch that you would expect from a luxury hotel. It felt more like they were going through the motions rather than making an effort to ensure that I had a memorable and enjoyable stay.On the other hand, the staff at luxury hotels in India and Dubai seemed to have an innate sense of how to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. They were warm, friendly, and attentive, always anticipating my needs and going above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. Whether it was the concierge who helped me plan my activities or the housekeeping staff who always made sure my room was immaculate, every member of the team seemed to take pride in their work and genuinely care about their guests. In terms of hospitality training, the luxury hotels in India and Dubai clearly invest a lot of time and resources into ensuring that their staff is well-equipped to provide exceptional service. They seem to understand that hospitality is more than just providing a comfortable place to stay - it's about creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for guests. In conclusion, while the Sutton Place may offer comfortable accommodations, it simply does not compare to the level of hospitality and service that you'll find at luxury hotels in India and Dubai. If you want to experience exceptional service and genuine care for guests, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.PS>> I was genuinely shocked when the staff told me they'd have to charge me for butter and jam (photos attached)

They fit me in last minute for a massage and everyone there was so kind and welcoming.Thank you for such an incredible stay!

A very nice hotel in a good location. There are a number of restaurants and shopping within a 10/15 minute walk. Staff were absolutely fabulous. For some wonderful reason, we got an upgrade. We got a suite, great space and storage, but in need of some love. Nice balcony offering views of the city. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool area for a chill out, includes hot-tub and a gym. You are two blocks or a $7 taxi ride from Vancouver downtown station on the line in/out of the airport. Good buses are a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
