The environment is welcoming and inclusive. My family and I are always greeted with a warm hello and positive attitude from the Y staff. Now that Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted, all of the great programing and classes are being offered on a regular schedule. I appreciate the wide variety of programing from the babysitting courses, swimming lessons, open family swim times, cycle and yoga classes. Continuing to offer a wide variety of programing, at different times is very much appreciated. I just want to applaud the entire team at our local Y for persevering and maintaining a positive outlook over the past 2 years. The Purser-Hessel Family is so grateful and proud to be Y members.2023 Update:I want to start this off by stating that the majority of the Y staff is absolutely AMAZING! I am always greeted with a smile. The front desk is always quick to respond to any inquiries I may have. The staff is knowledgeable and hardworking.I have been a proud Y member for over a decade, but the newest tiered membership has stopped short on making it more affordable. We have always held a family membership, but now my children only really utilize the facility for swimming lessons which are only available through an active membership. The increased Family membership fee (that includes swimming lessons) is the top tier, at almost $160/month with no option to pay for swimming lessons as a non-member. I believe swimming lessons (especially when living on the lake) should be made available for all children and youth without added barriers. There is a direct need for swimming lessons, in our area. Making it only available to members is very divisive for a lifesaving skill. There should be an option to pay for swimming lessons, as a non-member with comparable pricing to neighboring communities. Community members could opt for this, as well as private lessons, pre-pandemic.In speaking with other members, there is also a concern that a pool only" membership was overlooked

I started using the walking track after a long delay during covid. This is sponsered by our local medical center. Everyone is friendly and acknowledges me. Amanda who runs this program actually remembered my name & was pleased to see me return. She really cares! What a great program & I really appreciate it.

This is a lovely, aesthetically pleasing building and you can usually find something to do here. Sweet Love Eats is located in the cafe area, and Nicole is the main reason I go. Her food is awesome and I recommend trying it out!Memberships to the Y are expensive, even with subsidy in place. This is prohibitive for many families in the community who would benefit from access to programming. I'm grateful for the Strong Start and RASP programs, which make it more feasible. The staffing is much different between the summer months (in April and May, the students return and are usually highly qualified and well trained) compared to the rest of the year (staff shortages and less qualified overall, reduced programming). That said, they are usually friendly and welcoming year round!Honestly, some programming changes and less prohibitive fees would make all the difference, here. The Y definitely has promise.

Each morning upon entering the building am greeted with a smile and friendly welcome. The instructors accommodate all our needs and suggest alternatives where needed. The music keeps me excited and active. Lots of variety and fun activities.
