Shoppers Drug Mart

Received very poor cruel service from the beauty boutique. I was accused of doing things I never did and was followed around the store like I did something wrong. (Only thing I did was open a face cream to make sure it wasn’t used before I purchased it. I’ve had problems before with shoppers and used products.)I’ve been shopping here for years (loyal customer) and have never been so disgusted and embarrassed in my life. I contacted customer care over this matter. The beauty boutique staff should act less like security guards and stop bullying customers. They should be focused on providing professional friendly service instead of harassing customers to the point where you start crying.I’ve never had a problem with the pharmacy or front of store before just with the beauty boutique and it’s rude staff. They all used to be friendly and now not at all. Really disappointed:(.Too long of a story to put the rest here.....

I went in to return three nail polishes at the front registers. The woman at the till told me I had to go to the beauty boutique. She was acting like it was a big inconvenience to her. I went to the beauty boutique and one of the nail polishes would not scan from the return. It was so frustrating and when the consultant asked for help from the supervisor they wouldn’t come to the till and was just speaking over a headset. This was made into such a big ordeal for no reason. How can returns be such a negative experience in this store all the TIME!! Make it right for the customer. I never did end up getting that one nail polish returned because the one Color was double scanned and it looked like I never purchased the one I was returning, another error on their part and they wouldn’t fix it.

My experience today at Shoppers Drug Mart on 1 Ave S has been unfortunate and disheartening. I made an online purchase a few days ago while there was an offer to earn 50,000 PC Optimum points for an order of $150 or more. I received the item yesterday and decided to return it, so I took it to this store.The return process was challenging as the store supervisor was initially refusing to process the return because it is electronic and that it looks opened." This is despite the policy stating that returns on electronics can be made if they are in original packaging and in a saleable condition. I even asked them to check the other items they had in store to see how the original packaging looks like. Eventually

Horrible check out service! Not the tellers fault but corporate. Christmas season. Only 1 teller station, and 3 self check outs. Standing in end of line, 3 ppl in front of me in line for teller to check me out, teller needs another staff called to price ck. Then, the self ckout customer needs help, so teller leaves station to help him. Back at teller station, next person needs something that teller has to call someone to go get it, and I wait. Meantime, there are 8 elderly customers behind me waiting in line. My turn!!! Teller needs to call someone over to get my crest white strips plus the price is incorrect, so another wait, only to find out when other staff returned to say they were sold out. Honestly. CORPORATE NEEDS TO GET MORE FRONT LINE TELLERS! That lone teller was so swamped and I would say took the brunt of the verbal dissatisfaction of the unhappy customers waiting. I told the teller, it is not her fault, it is corporates! And I was going to post a Google review and also contact head office. The teller thanked me very sincerely, stating that she's been asking for additional help, but has been denied. SHAME YOU SHOPPERS.

Spent 20 mins picking out 400 worth of different gift cards for an employee event. Took them to the cashier who muttered that she isnt sure if the gift cards can be activated?? But I can try to pay for one and the I will get refunded if it doesn't work. Well it didn't work and an utter waste of my time, what kind of store operation is this??

Pharmacy was fast, although I only had 1 prescription, so that could be why. Can buy my favorite bodywash there.

Great service, knowledgeable helpful staff in pharmacy. Clean store with all you need at a pharmacy.

Constantly being followed the second I walk in, can’t go anywhere or look at things in peace without that lady breathing down my neck every movement I make… - the worker in the beauty section, like no shame at all

The staff in the beauty boutique need some training on how to deal with customers. This is the second time I’ve visited and felt like like I was treated less than. The girl was giving me attitude the entire time and spoke to me in a condescending way. If you need perfume, go to the shoppers at Kensington. The girls there are so helpful, kind and friendly, plus they have no problem giving samples. I never understood why some customer reps act like samples are coming out of their pay. What is the purpose of samples if not to give to customers?The midtown boutique apparently never has samples, and some of the products have no testers.
