Hamsterly Beach at Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park
Elk lake garden city sports beautiful season pot flowers and a variety of garden essentials. It’s a all in one shop for all things related to gardening. Various flower varieties available are pansies, primula, tulip (different colors), helleborous roses, viola (orange purple wing), hyacinth bulbs and a lot more. Just a stroll around the market will lighten your mood up.

So much to see and do! Swimming in the summer, 10k trail around the lake, brand new playground, benches, picnic tables, handicap parking, port a potty right now. In the process of building new washrooms. Plenty of parking.

They just updated the playground with natural wood structures, slides, tunnels, and hills. They have porta potties but I’m sure that’s being updated as well. No fence around playground. Picnic tables, parking, water access, & hiking trail- there.

Great beach for family and great access to the water for paddle boards, we have a lot of demand for paddle board rentals in this beach. Can get windy and sometimes busy with motor boats creating challenging waves for paddle boarders. Otherwise great for picnic for big groups and events

Your kids really love this place . So many activities can be done there. Good place to visit with family . Nice view of sea . Well maintained

Loved that there were plenty of people fishing although the temperature dipped a bit. Some people were getting their boats into the water to fish and relax. Didn't realize how big the place was till we walked around. Great views at sunset and great for dog walking.

great swimming this summer 2022 and a wonderful new playground for kids. Port o potties leave something to be desired but looks like flush toilet washrooms are in the works.

Hamsterly Beach at Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park
This is a great place for families to come for a picnic and a swim. The beach area is nice and shallow with a mix of sun and shade and there a quite a few picnic tables nearby. The playground was just built along with a new changeroom with flush toilets.Lots of free parking and access to a 10km walking trail around the lake make this an amazing destination at any time of the year.

Since the renovations to the playground awhile back… and the new clean washrooms with art hanging on the walls and skylights to boot… I’d say this park and beach is my all time favourite!
