Ordered a Petzel Vertex Vented helmet as per their catalogue picture with the corresponding A015 Vizir". The helmet I received is not the same as in the catalogue so that the "Vizir" is not compatible. There appears to be 2 versions of the Vertex Vent helmet but the one I received doesn't appear in Bartlett's catalogue. Have called numerous time and could only leave a voice mail. Also sent an e-mail. Have not heard anything back from them. Being in Canada had to pay extra shipping costs and duty. Bartlett wants a 20% restocking fee. Not happy. {April 22 update} - Received an e-mail from customer service April 6th

Love these guys! I’ve spent so much time and money here cause I know I’m getting great equipment and buying from knowledgeable people who actually use what they sell for the reason it was made. They care about their customers and will work with you on getting what you need whether you’re getting your first setup or have been climbing for 20yrs. Everything that they have online and in their catalog they have available in store for you to feel, try on and experience firsthand, whether you buy it or not.

I just happened to notice the Kuhl sign while visiting the Marlette area from Texas. I stopped in and was surprised at all the great arborist gear they had. And a ton of Kuhl clothing too. I wish y'all carried a bit more gear from Arborwear (Tree Climber pants are some of the best I've ever bought). Great store. Glad I found it.

I am super impressed with the quality of service from this business. I am getting back into the tree trimming game and ordered some gear. I ended up ordering the wrong size of climbing saddle in the kit and Kelly helped me replace it and is sending me the correct size for me. They are very attentive and responsive and very impressed. Thank you!

I have been to this location before. They have a nice store. Their warehouse has most everything in stock. Knowledge staff. Even the new young lady at the counter was very willing to learn about the products. The only thing I have a slight issue about is where you are located. It is a hike. I'm from the Flint area and the gentleman next to me was from Chesaning. It's 20 minutes west of Flint.

Their return policy is ambiguous and when asked for clarification before ordering, you still get the shaft if you want a refund. I will NEVER order from them again. I should have known better. Should've just used Amazon for easy no hassle returns! I am currently disputing the charge on my credit card for misrepresentation of return policy. Make sure to read all of them. They have one for their website, one for the packing slip (this one is where they think they got ya!) and then one for the catalog, all different. You want a saddle ....go on Amazon!

One of the best places to get gear. The owners even know my kids names. I've been going to Bartlett almost exclusively for over nine years. If they don't have it, you probably don't need it. If you do however, they will get it and keep it in stock. Great place, great people, great service!
