Perhaps the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered a topper for my Toyota Tacoma April 2021 and was told lead time was 6-8 weeks, topper took 12 weeks to come in which was understandable given the Covid situation. Upon installation of the topper I found defects in the paint (Blotching & dirt in clear coat) as well as misshapen window trim. I brought the truck into Cap-It where it was inspected. Was told by Leer that I need to take it to a body shop for an estimate for a repaint. Body shop provided Cap-It the estimate of over $800. Cap-It gave the offer of a $400 discount or repaint. I advised I would like the repaint and to book it in as soon as they could. I made multiple calls and emails to Cap-It only to be repeatedly told they were waiting for the body shop. I called the body shop who confirmed they have openings but I had to deal with Cap-It to arrange. Still got the run around from Cap-It and then they stopped responding completely. I finally reached out to the owner who didn't even apologize about the service and I was told it would now need to be repainted by the manufacturer which would leave me without a topper for 2-3 months forcing me to accept a discount. I was completely understanding of the situation throughout the entire 6 month span as this was on the manufacturer and not Cap-It. Cap-It should have had enough common sense to capitalize on this and keep me happy. I own a new Toyota Tacoma that will soon be in need of a lift, wheels, tires, racks and bumpers and Cap-It has lost the opportunity to be a one stop shop for these items. I couldn't imagine running a business in this fashion and effectively telling a client they do not matter...

Worst Cap-it and customer service:Ordered a custom truck cap in June. Was not updated on the progress or if there were delays. Called 4x for updates, was told the same story every time.Fast forward 10 weeks, still no cap. Was informed it would be arriving today- called to make sure and was told it wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be available. We are now moving tomorrow without our cap and asked for a refund. Disappointed and extremely frustrated with this company and process.

Terrible customer service. I was polite and simply enquiring about a tent installation. On the phone I spoke to a receptionist, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. Then I was transferred to I'm assuming a manger whom was equally as rude and ill tempered. I ordered a roof tent online and was simply enquiring about having it installed on my vehicle. Just by my enquiry they were impatient and seemed annoyed at my even asking about it. I was told it would be a minimum charge of over $300, this is ridiculous as the tent is pre-assembled and requires minimal installation (I have owned one before). I was simply asking for convenience sake. The charge is outrageous but apart from that just simply enquiring about it, the staff were so rude and impatient and dismissive. I now regret deciding to have it delivered to their store as I do not want to have any interaction with this store and their unprofessional rude staff

Bought a Leer topper from Cap It south location and I broke the little side window. they won’t sell you just that window. You have to buy the whole side for $850 US. When you break your side window on the truck, GM doesn’t make you buy a windshield.! They are two separate windows and you have to buy it complete unit just a rip off!And not open on Saturday?

Within 2 months the rear window dampers stopped working, then both locks and after that the window seal came out. Tried to contact for warranty but never any reply. They called back after I contacted head office and promised to replace the parts. That was the last I've heard from them even after several more attempts.November 8th - The parts arrived. Wish it had been easier but the warranty was honored.

Well where to start.... I was in a accident in December. I went to cap it to get a quote on new after market bumpers and commercial leer topper. I ordered the bumpers and had them install it once ty truck was ready after repairs to rear end. They took an extra 2 days to do front and 1 rear bumper. Not that big of a deal... but I also ordered a commercial topper to go as a replacement as mine got damaged. First off they ordered the wrong topper but decided to install it before telling me. They offered me to keep it on till I got the new one re ordered. 4 months later I still don't have my new topper blaming it on supply chain from Leer. I called them up and cancled my current order and got a refund on my deposit. Now to get my old topper re installed that just called to inform me it would be a couple weeks again to swap out new to old one again! I have been dealing with this for almost 5 months now. Never shopping at this store again! Very unhappy customer. Other then my refund they wouldn't do anything else for me even though I had to waste another day off to deal with this issue.

Had some Cap it branded lights installed about last summer, they were installed incorrectly causing them to draw on the battery when the car was off, had to get my battery replaced 2 times before I could figure out what the issue was. They ended up ‘fixing’ the battery issue but blamed it on there lack of instructions which was odd considering it was their own branded LED pods. 4 months later they aren’t working again and filled with moisture… I called in on a Monday to book an appointment for the next day they took my name and number and scheduled me in. Next day I show up doors are locked and there closed, I waited thinking maybe someone’s on lunch and they will be back, 30 minutes later nobody still. I called and left multiple messages. It’s now a week later and I’ve heard nothing back. As far as I can tell the service people doing the installations are incompetent and customer service is lacking. Severely disappointed, last time doing business with Cap-it south calgary.

We purchased a truck cap, roof rack, and Decked drawer system from Cap It earlier this year, and were so happy with our experience! Everything came together so well, and we really appreciated all of the help and expertise that Destin provided as we planned and ordered everything without ever going into the store. We had a lot of questions, and he was so helpful with guiding us in putting together a great package for our truck! The support didn't end once everything was installed, and they've continued to make sure we're happy with our set-up since. Thanks Destin, Bill, and everyone else on staff, for such a great experience!

I wouldn’t go back.I went to get a tonneau cover for my truck. They close pretty early, so I left work early to get it installed. The wrong parts were shipped, so they couldn’t do it. Made another appointment, and the same thing happened. They told me they could get me in and out in about an hour so I made a third appointment. Took two and a half hours. They were apologetic, but saying sorry is easy (and cheap). There has to be better places than here. I wouldn’t go back.
