Real Canadian Superstore Steeles Avenue

Absolutely horrendous experience. We went through self checkout and were followed and harrassed by a lady who was probably a manager or an “authority” figure there. She spoke so rudely to us. She tried to teach me how to use a self checkout machine although I had been working retail since 16 and done self checkout numerous amount of times. I didn’t want to be rude or embarrass her and just said okay. She grabbed our cart and told us to put it directly under the security camera.Then when something was coming up wrongly priced she got angry and when my mom asked her to “please hurry up” she said “WAIT.” She asked other employees to go and look for correct price and stayed glued to us. She didn’t even talk to any other customers there.I have being working retail for years and I have never seen or experienced such terrible customer service. It baffles me that people act that way. And after we paid for everything she asked us “Did you pay for the rest?” and stopped our cart and repeatedly asked us to see our receipt. Even after we gave the receipt she was so hostile. She asked if we paid for onions that were on the bottom of the cart and at that point even after reading our receipts it was just insulting.She wasn’t wearing a name tag or any uniform. She was tall and Indian. It is disgusting and disgraceful to see such terrible people making others days worse. Interactions like these could be the breaking point in a persons life. A shame to see this is where humanity has brought us. Degrading and harassing people in case they steal basic necessities. What a terrible world.

Well, the store and most of the employees were fantastic! Except for the woman at the self checkout. The hand-held scanner wasn't working, and when I told her about it, she laughed at me and said, Oh well

One of the best Super shop at Surrey.full of Indian products whatever you want.employees are also very good. Front End manager and other supervisors are also wonderful. More over the store Manager is one of the best person who always take care of the customers.

The front end is usually understaffed and the person at self checkout is always too busy to help. This store has a lot of ethnic, mostly Indian, items available. It is usually busy/crowded. Its a big store w lot of options for items but i have noticed that there are a lot of pricing issues like the price tags are missing or it has been placed at the wrong place so it can be mistaken for the wrong price. The customers here are usually very patient and sweet.

This is a review for the King George location in Surrey BC. The store makes pricing mistakes all the time. It is so common I have started taking photos of the things that are wrong. A perfect example. A whole basket of Romano cheese listed for 0.94. At the register is 3.49. Show my photo. We will have to price check it" After 10 mins they still can't figure it out and no manager available. This is how they make record profits. Lie

I’ve only been shopping at this Superstore for the last 12 years, but recently I noticed a change in the staff’s behavior. I just HATE the fact that they stereotype. What, just because I’m Asian I’m automatically a thief? The certain self check out staff always watch you as if you’re trying to steal something. What, you think I would just ‘forget’ to scan something? If I needed help, I know to get the staff’s attention. I notice the staff won’t watch closely if a different person pulls up with a full cart. Go figure.Also, this store could really use some more self check out like Walmart. I don’t like using the cash register as the staff there just drag produce over the scale, bang them along the sides and bruising them in the process. If I wanted to buy damaged produce, I know to get them from the discount section.

Busiest time of the day. The self checkout line is fam near the medical clinic entrance and they have 4 regular checkout lanes open. Get better. I’ve walked by like 4-7 employees men and women standing in isles talking and laughing with one another. Open another lane. There’s no way someone should be waiting 25-35 mins in a checkout lane! Very dissatisfied.

For Surrey King George storeMet the store Manager Rav today, what an amazing human being, he was very approachable and kind, after a very long time I came access a great Manager who is also a great leader, while explaining the job market to me I saw empathy in his eyes for his staff where he was concerned for them for not being able to give them work hours, Great work Rav keep it up , we need leaders like you.

such rude staff. i was checking out my groceries and the lady that was at the self checkout was staring at me the entire time. just as i was about to put my card in, she said: “i can help you”. I said no in a way that didn’t upset her, but she wasn’t having it. I think this was a new lady because i haven’t seen her since i was a regular there, but then she started screaming at me and forcing me to let her help me. I will never use self checkout. EVER.

This store tries hard but fails miserably in one area, always, the parking lot! It's huge and filthy, litter strewn everywhere. Selection and variety of products is good, in fact excellent and better customer service than before. Quality is good as well. It offers good sales and competitive prices. But should you forget to bring a reusable bag, then be ready to pay $2.78 for one bag! No paper bag is available for 25c like other places (i asked). They have wheelchair access, but please hold that bladder of yours unless it's an emergency. The bathrooms are a no-go zone. Do visit the produce section, though. It is a delight!
