Sandman Inn Kamloops

Great location, lots of potential, but the rooms are just not great. They were clean enough, but just old and run down. The chair was so worn out on the seat and the arms, it looked like it had been sitting out in the sun for a few year. The bathroom is the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a Sandman. I love the Sandman it is almost the only place I stay, it is affordable and clean , just will not stay at this one again. I actually thought that I was booking at the one down by the river - Ops.

Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Atish checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Well taken care of.

We stayed here as a stopover for one night only, thank goodness. The room was terrible with a broken toilet flush, torn and missing curtains, broken drawers and chair, previous occupants hair on bathroom tiles, old single glass windows that looked like they might fall out if you tried to open them, and the room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom is so tiny you can hardly get in and close the door, and the sink is in the bedroom which was inconvenient. The are no lifts and the hotel is not in a great area with dubious people hanging about outside. There was no other suitable room available, and no maintenance personnel to mend the toilet, so we had to take the lid off the cistern and pull the thingy from inside each time we wanted to flush. I have nothing positive to say about this hotel.

Thanks for getting us that fan! Not the staff’s fault if the air conditioning doesn’t cool the room, even after cleaning the filters. Staff was great- did what he could.

Expensive room and very small for the price. Smallest room I've ever stayed in. It served the purpose we needed it for as we were just passing through. A longer stay would have been uncomfortable. The hotel was nice and clean but not accessible at all. 3 levels of stairs and stairs to go in. No one in a wheel chair or mobility disability could stay there. The parking lot is very tight.

Had a fantastic experience at the Sandman on Columbia. Great room service and clean and quiet just what you need after a long day at work.Atish & Deanna have been a great help in anything I need from being able to print out docs for business to having a coffee and chat. A very friendly place that I would highly recommend

Each Sandman location has it's little issues. I've stayed in 5 star hotels with similar issues. The reason I enjoy staying at your hotels, and this applies to every location I've stayed at, is the staff. The service level is unmatched. The methods of training you use through your management o your frontline staff is consistent at every level. BRAVO!!

The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The building looks nicer in real life than in the picture. I stayed as a stop over, driving Edmonton to Vancouver. It was just minutes off the highway so perfect for what I needed.

The hotel is a walking distance to restaurants, but a lot of sketchy people hang outside the front door of this hotel. Very dirty rooms - splatters all over the walls, nothing looked wiped off, mismatching items. No elevator. Torn curtains. Front staff don’t seem to care.

My room was horrible. No room to walk between desk chàir and end of bed. No relaxing chair or table in room. Tiny bathroom, could hardly close the door. Across from ice machine and housekeeping noise. Down a flight of stairs when I had asked for a room for mobility problems. They said she could use the freight backdoor to avoid the basement stairs.Room looked out on a cement wall, because it was in the basement. Charged me $25 more than rate posted in the ad and told me to take it up with the booking webpage. Parking was horrible. On a hill. And shared with Denney restaurant so there were few choices.The only reason I stayed the first night was because I was too exhausted from traveling to find somewhere else on the Saturday of a long weekend. And, my friend with mobility issues arrived for night two, so I stayed only one night.Not acceptable! I'll never go back. This was pet friendly but you get put in the basement down a set of stairs.
