I went to Shortreed for the first time yesterday for a small parking brake repair. While there, they noticed that my rear breaks were shot, and needed some attention too. Their quote was fair (much less than a quote from another local shop), and the final price ended up being less than they told me over the phone. Everyone I dealt with were friendly and cheerful, and they even stayed open a few minutes late so that I could grab my car the same day. I cannot recommend them enough!

Best place to deal with. I have them service my brand new vehicles because they are cheaper and better quality oils. They a true small town mechanics. Even the front desk man will get out and change a bulb or battery when they are busy. Easily one of the best group of guys in town

We took a day trip to our favourite Ontario town, Elora. As I parked in town, white smoke came from my right front wheel area before I was even out of the car. Then I knew my brake caliper was seized. I maintain my vehicles and do 2 brake services per year but things can still happen quickly and with little warning. I Googled auto repair service in Elora and called Shortreed. They advised me to have the brakes cool down then drive the short distance to their shop. I was greeted by Joel who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Taylor inspected my brakes and quickly confirmed a seized caliper. A rebuilt caliper arrived in about 15 minutes and the repair was done within 1 hour of my arrival! Taylor and Joel were wonderful. I also observed interactions of other mechanics with Joel and customers and I can attest that all were friendly, very knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. Their price was also very fair. I highly recommend this auto repair shop for their integrity, efficiency and fair prices.

I have gone to Shortreed Auto in Elora several times with my truck. They have always provided great service. Jamie is someone you can trust with your vehicle and is very accommodating. One time I needed a new battery and asked for a specific kind, Jamie had it brought in and changed quickly for me. I love being able to support a local business, especially a business that provides quality service.
