I urge you to steer clear of Terry's tree service based on my personal experience. Their actions resulted in significant damage to my house which cost me over $1500 in repairs, endangered my family's safety, and included dishonesty towards me and Xcel Energy. Terry's behavior was irresponsible, disrespectful, immature, and reckless. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for your tree service needs.During the tree trimming, the worker knocked down the power line and the conduit that connected it to my house. He suggested that I leave it like that, with the downed powerline lying across my backyard, for 2 weeks until he could fix it. According to him, he needed to contact Xcel power to detach the lines from the power so that he could re-attach the power cable and conduit to the house. I provided him with my Xcel account information, and he assured me that he had contacted them and arranged a meeting with them in over 2 weeks. However, I was concerned about the safety of leaving the power line lying across my yard. When I asked him if it was safe, he said yes and that he had explained the situation to Xcel, and it was fine to leave it as it was. He then left, leaving the power line lying on the ground.Upon contacting Xcel to inquire about the safety of the power lines being left in my yard for two weeks, their prompt response was that it was not safe. They immediately dispatched someone to assess the situation and arrived within 15 minutes. Xcel informed me that the tree trimmer did not inform them of the situation when he called. Xcel discovered that the power box and conduit were damaged and required replacement and said that a licensed electrician should handle the repair asap before any rainfall to prevent an electrical fire. They explained that it would not be acceptable for anyone other than a licensed electrician to handle the needed repairs.Following the installation of a new electric box and conduit by the licensed electrician to repair the damage caused by Terry's tree trimming service, I requested a refund of the $1500 cash fee paid to Terry the previous day, since I paid 1545$ for the needed electrical repairs. Terry agreed to cover the repair costs but claimed he didn't have enough money. He promised to pay by the end of the next week but has failed to do so. Two weeks later and I still have recieved no compensation for the damages Terry caused. I don't have enough money either, yet I had to pay for the urgent repairs to ensure my family's safety. Terry's lack of responsibility and refusal to provide his business address have made it challenging for me to file a claim against him in conciliation court. Consequently, involving the attorney general's office is necessary, which will consume more time and hassle to resolve the issue. Also, instead of trimming overhanging branches as requsted, nearly half of my tree was removed. Consequently the tree doesn't look very appealing. Look elsewhere for your tree trimming needs.

Terry & crew did a awesome job. He was here the next day after contacting him for a appraisal. He was prompt, knowledgeable, did not overcharge. He was at our home a day later & took down a 65 ft. Evergreen cleaned up and removed everything in 3 1/2 hours. Would differently use Terry’s service again.
