Dined in on a Saturday evening with family. There was only 1 server, who was also the bartender, so we were sitting and waiting for about an hour for our entrees. Thankfully, the wait was worth it because the food was delicious! Loved the BBQ sauce on the ribs!Side note: the washrooms are terrifying.

Menu is great, food is okay, service is not good. We went on a Friday evening for dinner, and they had one server/bartender. Other than the bar being full there were 4 other tables with customers. The server who was done her shift was at the bar having a drink and she is the one who brought us our menus and took our drink orders. The server who was on the clock took our order and we did get the food in a timely manner. The server did not check on us to see how our food was until we were finished at which point we asked for the bill. I would have liked some salt and pepper which were not at tables. We waited for the bill and watched as the server hung around the bar and even took a shot with the customers. The bar was clearly her priority. After waiting a while, and watching the server we went up to the bar to get our bill, pay, and leave. I don't think it was a matter of her being the only server and overworked as much as it was a priority issue. We did not order alcohol, not that it should matter in who gets proper customer service. We were looking to support local, but unfortunately, if we were to eat here again it would be takeout only

I would be weary of the fake 4+ star reviews before visiting. I suspect it’s friends/people who frequent the bar/party side of this establishment. Sort lowest rating first to get a full idea of what this place REALLY is. Slow service, disgusting food, extremely dirty and severely understaffed. The 1-2 staff on shift (even during peak days and hours) will act as everything in-house INCLUDING cooking, bartending, and hosting. Your server will be more focused on drinking with patrons at the bar while you sit there waiting for your entree for a minimum of 30 minutes. Health Canada needs to send a health inspector to shut this place down. Good luck if you decide to “support local” and eat here.

Drive by all the time, decided to stop last night for supper. Waitress was busy but she was not rushing, pleasant and patient. Coffee cup was small but the Club House Sandwich w/fries came before I was finished it. Turkey in my sandwich--just like there is supposed to be! Since covid I have not seen turkey anything being served elsewhere. The fries looked golden brown and crispy, absolutely awesome. I dined inside but there were 3 tables of patrons in the garden/patio area enjoying the fountain. Looking around at the recycled barn beams etc., I wondered what the story of the place was but noticed the emergency property identification sign as I was leaving 1821. Awesome food, chairs were even comfortable, 5 stars for 1821 out in the middle of nowhere on country road 27 not far from hwy. 9/400.

Went for dinner on a date night with another couple and had a really nice evening. The restaurant is rustic and unassuming which made for a really relaxing, fun atmosphere. I often have a hard time choosing my meal when the menu offers so much, then instantly regret after my first bite. I definitely can't say that at 1812 Grillhouse. All four of us loved what we ordered, and the presentation of each meal was lovely. The menu is great! It has so many options that honestly, you would have to be very picky to not find something. Our server Bart, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job and was happy to be there. This is definitely very refreshing to find when you just want to enjoy an evening out with friends. Loved the choice in music and all around great night! We will be back.

This restaurant was amazing. The food was good, the atmosphere was great even the staff was excellent. They were very tentative and very friendly. The two hours we were there as a family went by so fast. The food portion was excellent. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert, all were excellent. Definitely recommend people to go and try it out.

We came on a Sunday and there was only one person working the bar and serving. Pretty much every table was full and the one person (Kabi) did an amazing job! He kept on top of everything and was still very friendly even though they were short staffed! It was incredible! The food is also delicious! Will be coming back again!

Great place for quick stop by. Draft beer variety is limited , they need to stock up for summer . Didn’t try the food though .Will come again for sure on the way to Barrie . Staff is warm and pleasant !Washroom hygiene needs to be improved !

Celebrated my sons birthday here tonight. Delicious food and great service. Glad we checked this place out. We’ll worth the short drive from Bradford.

Food was great, the pizzas are much larger than I expected. Loved the food and atmosphere, the 1 server was kind and did what he could but the restaurant was quite full. There was only so much 1 person could handle. After the rush, 2 other ladies came to bus tables, they should have been helping make drinks, even helping to give out plates, cutlery, menus, pour drinks n help the server catch up. This place could succeed, if they had more staff.The service was slow, server was extremely apologetic and even dropped off a complimentary plate of fries that thoroughly helped us from getting hangry.
