I like many , who have had work done here, consider the customer service non existent. The actual work done? Not bad but imperfections all around. Just like other reviews. I do think he takes advantage of the fact he is one of the only ones in Canada to do this. Yes, don't believe his time estimates / triple them! If you can find someone else GO THERE INSTEAD

Brought in couple pieces of serving silverware for daughters wedding. Couldn’tget stains on plating out with usual commercial product.Went to the back buff them out while I waited for a veryreasonable price. Mirror finish accomplished

Took in some pinball legs and a lock down bar, the pricing was very reasonable,just asked if I could prep the painted legs to keep the cost down, which took an hour or so of sandblasting. Got my stuff back in about 3 weeks which I think is reasonable.The product looks amazing and I'm very happy, will definitely be bringing more parts to get chromed!

Doing a furniture restoration on a classic 50’s lounge chair. House of Silver chromed the side frames. The finished job was perfect! Chair looks amazing. Highly recommended to anyone requiring a re-chrome of any type.

Never, never do business here. 2 months ago I brought in a vase and a horseshoe to be done and was told it would take 2 weeks. I came back 3 weeks later and nothing had been done. I was told to come back in a week..still nothing..REPEAT THIS 4 MORE TIMES..unreal....finally got my stuff.....customer services just SUCKS.

I have had many pieces of fine silver done at this place. Workmanship is *****+ I have never had anything come back to me less than perfect. I have also had Brass done to look like pewter, brushed stainless look etc. Very pleasant owner. We are so fortunate to have this quality of workmanship in our city. Don't hesitate. Have your heirlooms look like new again.

I did have to wait a long time for Robert to silver plate my antique teapot (4 months) but I was very pleased with the result. I had a terrible time finding someone who still did silver plating. Had to mail the teapot from Ottawa as no one in this area still does this work.

Know what your getting when you go here. Your piece will take much longer than you expect.The quality of work is not great, not terrible but was not what I expected from someone who does this for a living. Customer service is terrible.If you can find somewhere else to do this work, do it.

Never again 3 attempt and still not rightI got a price for my handmade car badge to be chromed the guy said the minimum price was $75 I expected the price and left the badge there it was a Tuesday. He took my name and number and said it should be ready by Friday. I waiting for a phone call that never came and called them on the following Tuesday they said it was ready. I picked it up went to pay and was told its cash only so i leave to get some cash. The badge was not cleaned so I tried to get the polish off to see the chrome its look a bit yellowish and I thought it must be just a bit of oil or something so I took it home and gave it a clean there was a half inch circle of missing chrome plus blemishes. I call them up and they said they will re-chrome it so I took it back the next morning they said it will be done by the end of the day. So I picked it up for the second time and the chrome was burnt in a few places so he polished then gave it back to me there was some more area that were still burnt so burnt so he did it again. Then there was some blemishes in the top left corner that would not come out and he said it was it the metal I made the badge myself and sanded it to 1500grit so I know that it was not in the metal he said that he will re-chrome it again. He didn't want to do it the next day but I complained and he said he would. I call to see if it was ready and picking it up he said 2pm. I picked it up and it still has a blemish and on further inspection at home there is chrome missing in two places. On the 3rd time of collection i told them that I'm still not happy with it a I don't want it done but them again. I was offered no apologies even when I pointed this out to them. I received no receipt. They said that they chromed it 3 time for me and I only paid $75 plus tax. I replied “If it was done right the first time then you wouldn't have to do it again”I emailed them pictures of there bad work to see what they would do about it and there was no reply.

Save your money, time and items from this nightmare.Robert Wynnobel of House of Silver is dishonest, not trustworthy, and is not capable of good work.After sending him car parts in MAY of 2016 (yes, 2 years ago!) I finally got my parts back in JUNE of 2018.Multiple phone calls and emails were needed to get my parts back, but now that I have it all back, more needs to be redone than I have usable parts.He placed my car mirror in the wrong stripping solution, it ate the material, and said he'd repair it. After a year he tells me to go buy a new one. WHAT? Then he says to send the glass and trim ring so he can repair the edges of the mirror eaten by the strip solution. He says he can replace it with insurance but does not offer to do this, just says he CAN. He said if I didn't pay for his work to repair my original part, he would repair it and sell it. I said it was my part and i wanted it back, so I had to pay. It made no sense, he's the one who ruined it and refused to replace.After over $2000, cash up front before he'll ship back, he sends back my stuff. It is full of dents, (you can see the photo HE SENT ME from 10 feet away that there is a dent!) and there is pitting, and peeling, bubbling chrome. Polish marks in everything, edges of vintage car handles are ruined, door handles are filed/ground down and don't have the correct shape... a total nightmare.He didn't return my mirror trim ring or glass because he broke it - but didn't tell me. I asked for it to be returned when I discovered it wasn't in the box. I asked via email and phone to send it back and he did not reply or answer... only when I called from another phone number did he answer and tell me it was broken. He was really rude on the phone and told me everything was as good as it was going to get and that there were no dents.So I had to pay over $400 for a mirror repair that is now not usable because it is damaged and now repaired incorrectly and missing the trim ring. I have 4 hubcaps, 3 of which need stripping and redoing because they are full of dents, pitting and peeling chrome.If I could give negative stars, I would.
