Reading the other reviews, it is quite possible that Kamelia and her crew are good at staging. However, I attempted to use this business to spruce up my condominium in the midst of some renovations and I was extremely disappointed. Kamelia wanted $3000 up front. She indicated that the work would be done so quickly that me giving her part of this would be inconvenient.I thought her hourly rate was high but I did believe I would receive value at least initially, mostly on the basis of other reviews.My renovations were moving along but I had a hard time getting the design work done to keep the project going. What I eventually got was an assortment of suggestions. Though some were good, there was no overall plan or attention to how things would fit together in my condo. I needed direction but I ended up having to pick most everything myself. I did like one of the tile selections for my fireplace, but I have certainly not justified this expense on the basis of that alone.At the end, I told Kamelia that if she could just come up with a few things for wall decor that would help. Instead of agreeing to that she seemed to want to run up the design hours some more and I was doubtful that the additional expense would be productive considering the history of how things had gone.I have worked with three designers before and I can tell you that this recent experience was unique. The only part of the contract that was truly fulfilled was me paying Designs for Life the money.

Kamelia & her team had staged a house I recently purchased. The arrangement was so eye catching and beautiful that I decided to employ their services. Time proved that it was 100% the right decision. Their professionalism, punctuality and value for money left nothing to be desired.This is my 4th house in Vancouver over the last 20 years and I employed interior designer services for all 4 of them. Kamelia stands out by a head and a shoulder and then some.Wouldn’t think twice in recommending them.

While looking for a new house last year, I came across Kamelia's work where she had staged a brand new house, and right then and there I knew that is who I want to hire as an interior designer for my new house. When we bought our house, she knew the importance of time and came with us on the 2 visits we were allowed before possession to help decide on a few items to speed up ordering items such as the hardwood floor so when we took possession, the hardwood floor had arrived and ready for install. During the entire process, she was aware of our needs and time frame and she and her team were quick to respond and help choose our furniture so we ended up getting everything in a timely manner. Kamelia and her team even came before Christmas and placed accessories throughout the house so the house would not look bare during Christmas while waiting for my other specific accessories to arrive. Moving into a bigger house was stressful for me but Kamelia and Camille were always there to address my questions and help me make decisions and the result is a beautiful house I call home now.

I worked with Kamelia and her team to design and decorate a new condo I bought this year. I was starting from virtually zero, as I had moved from Victoria to Vancouver and gotten rid of everything from my previous home. I was looking for an interior design company with good taste that would be able to source furniture, decor, etc to my liking within the tight 2-3 month window between me purchasing my new home and the move-in date. My realtor recommended designs for life after working with them for several staging projects. I’d never worked with an interior designer and was so impressed. Kamelia and her team took their time to get to know me and understand the vision and style I had in mind. They were very quick in their correspondence, going back and forth sending me options for furniture, linens, decor items etc., and quick to accommodate my responses regarding what I loved and what I wanted to see more options for. Kamelia has excellent taste and was great about suggesting items I hadn’t considered that ended up working out so nicely. The team managed to source items so efficiently during the pandemic, and everything was set for my move in date. Their team did an excellent job setting everything up and were so helpful and professional. I’m so pleased with how my new place came together and would definitely recommend designs for life.
