I found Roblin Drywall here on google, called and left a message requesting an estimate for drywalling our basement. Rob called me back within an hour and went out of his way to come by the next day. He and his wife Ally were very friendly, professional and honest about what prep work needed to be done before they could start. Lucky for us they were able to fit us into their busy schedule. They stayed on budget, on schedule and were a pleasure to get to know and to have in our home for 2 weeks. Communication was excellent all the way through - Rob walked through and updated us daily on the progress, answered any questions we had and made sure to run any issues by us along the way. They are trustworthy, meticulous, extremely neat and take pride in their work down to the detail - and it shows. We could not be happier with the results and would recommend them without hesitation!

Let me begin by saying that my wife and I owe a debt of gratitude to the person who recommended the team from Roblin Drywall—Rob, Ally, Heather—to do the drywalling renovation in the home we recently bought in Kingston. The project—to take the basement area and upgrade it by closing in the floor joists and HVAC ducting with finished drywall.From the beginning, and throughout the project, the team were respectful of our needs. They showed up on time for the initial look at the project, when they said they would, and continued to do so on to its satisfactory conclusion. On their arrival there were still nailing strips in place on the joists as well as framing around the HVAC ductwork from an earlier decorating project.With Heather and Ally looking on, Rob went step-by-step through the vision that my wife and I imagined for the space and explained in detail how those goals would be met. Rob explained that they would be using a laser to indicate where the metal framing would be in order to compensate for the floor joist differences. He pointed out some preliminary work, that I could do, which would help to reduce the cost and the amount of time they would need to get the work done.As the project proceeded, Rob kept us updated on when they would be on-site and what they would be doing each day.Before the work began and even throughout the project Rob advised us of areas where they could make appreciable differences that we had originally not considered. He was seeing details and opportunities that we had overlooked.In using the laser for determine the placement of the metal framework, we gained much needed additional headroom, as Rob had pointed out during his original assessment of the project.Cleanup—The cleanup actually began at the start of the project. The entire floor was protected with a covering in order to minimize the dust that is inevitable when finishing drywall. At the end of the project the floor covering was removed and the finished flooring was washed down. It looked better than new. What was most impressive was the fact that the team took the time and effort to vacuum the dust from the rough-wood material that the basement is finished in.Now, standing on the stairs and looking across the surface of the ceiling, one can see that the ceiling is absolutely billiard-table flat.Before Rob, Ally and Heather left after the project was done, Rob took the time to walk me through the areas of the basement and to describe again the use of the laser, the incorporation of metal framing to support the drywall, the floor prep, the methods used to minimize and control the drywall dust, and to point out the areas where they were able to bring the project and benefits beyond what we first thought might be done on our behalf. But the thing that most impressed me was the obvious pride in Rob’s voice in describing what Heather, Ally and he were able to provide to the future enjoyment of our new (for us) home.I fully endorse and recommend Rob, Ally, and Heather as drywall installers and finishers and project consultants.MK

Rob and his team did an amazing job repairing the walls in my kitchen and other walls around the house. They also put in a new ceiling with pot lights. What a difference a few changes can make! They worked efficiently, were always on time and kept me updated etc. I will definitely be using them again.
