Artists Within Makeup Academy

I graduated both the hair and makeup program in January of 2018. The teachers are really there to help you succeed and push you to be your best! I’ve gained great connections through my classmates and the academy; I have worked in my field a handful of times on behalf of the academy producing opportunities with their connections. They really do take you under their wing and teach about the industry expectations, and provide scenarios with other industry experts (modelling agencies, photographers and stylists) to teach you in the field skills. I’m very happy with my experience at Artist Within Academy, the credibility that comes with being an alumni can open doors if you apply yourself and are good at your trade.

I attended AWMA back in 2011 and have gone to have an incredible career in the makeup industry. Artists Within prepped me with base knowledge to develop upon and create a successful journey, most recently including coming back to the academy to teach the very course I took 11 years ago. I’m so happy to be able to offer what I received years ago and help prep these student’s futures! ♥️

The best beauty school ever! Jessica was my instructor for the makeup diploma course and she was amazing! She is very talented! This school has helped me so much in becoming the best makeup artist I can be and helps people in getting job opportunities. Jessica is also very inspirational and so kind! She’s truly helped me improve in my makeup skills and taught me everything I need to know about being a professional makeup artist.

Zander was an amazing teacher for my basics class. He created a comfortable and encouraging space for his students and gave excellent advice and feedback. I feel very fulfilled with his teaching methods considering everything i’ve learned within the class. I am going to miss him as a teacher, he was definitely one of my favourites.

Such a great experience at Artists Within. I just finished the basics program and had Zander as my teacher. He was the most supportive and helpful teacher, he went through everything very thoroughly and always gave his honest opinion to ensure that we had improved by the end of the course. He was such a fun teacher, always showed up with a smile and always made everyone laugh. Definitely a great course to take especially with the amazing teacher.

Zander was an amazing teacher! He went above and beyond to give us the best knowledge and experience, he made it so much fun to learn and I feel excited and prepared to start my makeup journey because of him and the school!!!

I went today for a make up lesson and it was fabulous. I am almost 74 and the instructor really helped me look great and natural. The products are reasonably priced and they have lots of brushes to choose from. I learned how to use the products correctly and how to maximize my best features. I am just so happy with how I look!

The school is absolutely wonderful and always willing to help you out with anything, whether you're still a student or have graduated. Specifically, Amen's classes are amazing! She's such a fantastic teacher, incredibly talented and I learned so many amazing things from her! Highly recommend this school and any class that Amen teaches!
