MacLeod Cottages

Myself and four friends stayed for two nights in two separate cottages and enjoyed every minute of it. The cottages were clean, and well equipped (some searching required but that just added to the fun!). Yes, they are rustic but we were dry and warm and had great water pressure so really what more could anyone ask for?The beach was right outside our front porch and Nancy was able to place us in two cottages right beside each other so it really felt like summer camp running from one to the other. The views are amazing (moon rise and sun rise) and everyone we talked to in the community treated us like a neighbour rather than a short term visitor. I applaud the MacLeod clan for keeping these cottages going for as long as they have! We will be back and counting the days until then. Thank you!

Like hidden gems amoung the sea shore - absolutely beautiful. I already have my cottage booked for 2019, and will DEFINITELY be coming back again in 2020. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful cottage stay in beautiful Nova Scotia. Rustic but well-kept cottages provide an authentic beach experience. Great price and great customer service.

Cottages are rustic & cute. The location is amazing, beaches are fantastic. I have stayed in 3 different cottages & will back again.

Being right on the beach you cant do any better than that. It is rustic but very clean. The canteen has good food if you want to skip cooking.

House was very musty. Kitchen tap leaked. Fridge leaked, half of the doors wouldn't shut, main floor sink is slow draining. Adjusted the review after response to repairs were made. We did have a good stay and the beach close by was very nice.

Very outdated, we ended up leaving the same day we arrived. Rustic is one thing but this was a bit much. In the bedroom you can see the ground through the floor. Same with in the bathroom, the pipes had gaps around them exposing the ground underneath the cabin. The light switch plate was broken making it possible to touch exposed electrical wires ***yikesThe sink in the bathroom leaked all over the floor if you use it. They have guest books dating back to the 1940’s and it seems as if nothing has been changed since then.We stayed for the day but would not sleep thereFrom the areas of the cottage that are exposed to the outside bugs, ants and spiders were visible in many areas. Beautiful location/ bad accommodations.The owner since has posted and edited their response several times. saying things like, Sorry there was no TV or internet etc. That has nothing to do with why would could not stay there, but once again proves the attitude of this host.

This cottage was the perfect peaceful getaway for me. I could watch seals playing in the waves from the deck of the cottage, and the walk along the beach was amazing. The cottage was well equipped, I had no issues booking, everything was easy. I’ll be back.

Loved all of it; especially the peace and quiet! Canteen ice cream great, kids working there were personable and fun. View of tge ocean from our cottaga was a 10/10.
