5-star first visit but downgraded to 4-star after second visit. Read on.Came for dinner. Best lime margarita outside San Miguel de Allende, Mexico! Aztec’s soup was fantastic. Avocado Tostadito was pretty good but I forgot to ask to hold on the crema. My Chile Rellenos with chicken was spicy compared with my wife’s Chile Rellenos with pork. Our server explained that chicken is spiced hotter than pork in this Mexican cuisine; something I did not know. Finally, the churros were amazing. Light brown and crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle and clearly freshly made! What a surprising place on the Sunshine Coast. Only minor quibble is I wish the seafood tacos were made using locally sourced fish such as halibut. Hope we can visit again before we leave the coast.Downgrading from 5-star to 4-star after bad second visit, three days later. They lost our reservation. After 30 minutes wait, I had to go ask for glasses and bottle of water which others tables had promptly received. My wife got Tamarindo instead of the Jamaica water she had ordered and my Lime Margarita was warm as it had no ice! Thankfully, The Tacos Mole and Chilaquiles Rojo were both excellent. There was a snafu in the order but my second lime margarita which had ice and was excellent. Similar snafu with our order of churros.Food is excellent but service can be terrible with no explanation or apology offered. Be forewarned.

Amazing food and service! We were a group of 6 that just finished a hike and were very hungry. The margaritas were awesome and the food came quick. Fish tacos were the best I have ever had!We will definitely come back when visiting the coast.

Without a doubt, the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Canada. The enchiladas were OUTSTANDING! Perfectly lathered in sauce, perfectly cooked and with a generous helping of rice and beans.And it was all very value for money!

Amazing authentic Mexican food better than those at downtownVancouver. Their prices are very reasonable. We had 2 dogs with us and thanks to the sunny weather, we are able to sit on the patio where our dogs sat right next to us.I had tried the Azteca Soup, they poured the hot soup into the bowl of chicken, taco chip and avocado in front of you. The soup is light but filling. The Bean soup I ordered to take out and enjoyed it very much as well the next day.My husband and girl friend ordered Burritos and Beef Tacos respectively. They both enjoy them very much. We also shared the Nachos Mel, very tasty too. Not like the Western Pub Nachos, this restaurant served very Mexican and authentic.We were very surprised to find this Mexican restaurant. Next time we visit SunShine Coast, we will definitely go back and enjoy more other dishes.

Today was my first time eating here. Wow was it good. We had three dishes and they all were amazing. Very good flavours, textures and looked amazing. The atmosphere felt very festive. I would highly recommend this place.

As a Mexican I’m always looking for a really authentic Mexican flavour.. this hidden gem in the Sunshine Coast gave me a heartfelt piece of Mexico . Loved that it’s a family business with traditional dishes and great atmosphere.. highly recommended.. cinco estrellas 5 stars

When I have the chance to stop I stop here for the Wet Burrito, take both sauces not hot and great flavour. I may have been hungry but I almost liked the plate!
