Bay Port Yachting Centre

My family and I are new to Bayport this summer and I have to say the experience has been fantastic! What better way to spend the summer of 2020, surely a difficult and memorable year, out on the water enjoying boating and staying in a very nice marina located in the heart of Midland! Bayport is very close to downtown Midland and features walking & cycling trails nearby that lead to nice town beaches, Midland Sunday Farmer's Market and of course in Midland harbour we are right in the heart of the absolute best freshwater boating on the planet!! Bayport staff have been really great. They are friendly, eager to help and in many cases go above and beyond to make sure their clients are properly looked after. From the fuel dock attendants who safely handle the boats and refueling even offering free pump outs with fuel purchase and went the extra mile to rinse our holding tank to the friendly dock attendants, office staff and John, the GM who all seem very keen on helping out we have been very impressed with this marina! I saw in one review a complaint that the GM didn't do much other than drive around in a golf cart which couldn't be further from the truth. I have seen the guy hauling propane tanks, garbage, boat parts etc. with the golf cart around the huge marina and also see him cleaning, testing & shocking the pool, valeting" boats very competently to and from the fuel dock

I have been boating on Georgian Bay now for approximately 28 years.Owned several sailboats and a small power boat over the years. I have been between a Bayport Boater off and on for the past 28 years. Recently I foolishly contaminated my diesel fuel with water and ran the engine. I did this during a very busy maintenance and launch time for the marina. The service department team addressed my issue, talk you Ryan. James the mechanic was able to evacuate the water, purge my fuel system , replace filters and get me back sailing. I cannot say enough about the service team I also wish to thank and acknowledge the launching crew, Ted and his team. I had two boats launched this spring, one buried behind 10 or 12 boats. Ted and his team have always been efficient and professional.I cannot say enough positive things about Bayport. 5 stars 10 out of 10.

They're doing their best to fit us in. Need tons of work done before we sail from Midland to Thunder Bay in late July. Will let you know how they do. Hopefully we're ready to safely sail Superior.

Beautiful escape from the daily rigmarole of life .....clean ,calm,serene -yatch dock...people are very helpful,complete safety and cleanliness is pretty evident .

Clean Marina, Fantastic staff that prioritizes getting you on the water. Steve the marina manager has gone above and beyond for us more than once, Sari in service and Marg Dock Coordinator are superstars.

We truly have the best marina on Georgian Bay! Our gas dock attendants are friendly, helpful and efficient. We were returning from the long weekend and Sam, just one of our fabulous dockhands, had been assisting another boat on the run next to us and took it upon herself to come to our slip to catch our lines. So proactive.Ken is a wonderful ambassador to American and Canadian cruisers doing the loop -- offering chart review for their anticipated journey onward to the North Channel.Kyle was a great coordinator/host for both the sailing and powerboat rendezvous. We had a great time at both -- made many new boating friends.We love the Boaters Garage Sale that Bay Port sets up at the beginning of the season. Hated to miss it this year.The office/warehouse staff receive our packages with a smile. Our washrooms are ALWAYS spotless. Thanks to the entire Bay Port team who are the reason our live-aboard life on Horizon is the best! Well, that and our perfect slip.

We have been members of Bayport now for a few years. There is a reason we continue to return. Bayport is an exceptional club. It's has everything we need for our summer enjoyment. Staff are friendly and courteous. The club is clean. Service is top-notch. I highly recommend!!

We love Bay Port. We stayed here fall of 2022 when we brought our boat from Port Dover through the Trent Severn. At that time we decided not to carry on northward, as it was getting late in the year,so we left the boat there over winter. Spring 2023 found us doing an overhaul of the interior before launching. Can't say enough about the staff, both inside and outside. Helpful, fun, knowledgeable and accommodating to our projects. This is a perfect stop for Loopers as it is a short 2 km walk along a paved waterfront trail, to the cute town of Midland with lots of restaurants and shops. It's only $10 to take a taxi to the big box stores up the hill to provision (or a modest cardiac climb of 2.5 km). Amenities at the marina are clean and showers are hot and spacious. Laundry is an affordable $2 per load. The fuel and pump out dock is large and can take 3-4 large boats or a greater number of smaller boats. Bay Port Yachting Centre is a great place to rest and gear up for the continuation of the Loop up to the North Channel. Sandra and Chris from MV Thataway

Had a top notch experience with Bayport after a boat we purchased ended up on the rocks on its way to us. Sari was amazing to deal with along with all of the other dedicated staff. Steve, Chris, Earl, Amy and everyone else who helped us with our rocky start"....thank you. We never felt like a "bother" to anyone we dealt with. We’ve been Bayport drystack customers for over 10 years now. Fantastic service from this facility. Recently I had to order two tiny little parts for our boat. Went in Friday morning had the parts in less than 24 hrs. Not sure where else you’ll find that kind of service!!!! Thank you Bayport!!!!!.
