Sullivan + Associates Clinical Psychology

Sullivan has been incredible to work with from day one! They have been very accommodating with my schedule and comfort level. I can’t recommend them enough and wish I’d gone to them sooner. If you’re considering it make the call, you won’t regret it.

My children both benefited greatly from their sessions with Sullivan and associates. The counsellor was really good at drawing out my quiet child. She made him feel safe enough to open up about what was going on. My older child likes his sessions and asked to have them extended so he can work in his anger issues. This shows me that the counsellor has done a great job of building rapport with my children.

A friend recommended Sullivan and Associates and I'm so glad they did. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I matched well with my clinician and I actually look forward to when we meet. I would definitely recommend Sullivan and Associates to anyone.

Not sure why I chose to go back here, I had a bad experience 6 years ago but thought things may have changed. Booked an appointment over the phone weeks ago, confirmed time and date and then when I show up I'm told there are no appointments in the calendar for me. This is ridiculous, you're supposed to be here to help people, not be the ones driving them nuts in the first place!Stay far, far away from here if you actually value you mental health.

Professional and knowledgeable staff, with a welcoming and calming atmosphere. I had the pleasure of having a clinician who was able to understand my complex situation and assisted me to navigate through the facts with discernment to find a happier outlook on life.

Slight difficulty accessing certain services but the core services oftherapy/analysis is fantastic and so is the staff I highly recommend. Some of the best clinical phycologists I've worked with to date though service accessibility is a challenge as stated previously.

Very through and personalized assistance with my child and diagnosing strengths and weaknesses. Polite and comfortable environment and greets everyone with courtesy and thoughtfulness.

Staff were usually pleasant but, ultimately, the experience was far more frustrating than anything else, usually feeling just like a factory production line, with them more interested in my accident benefits than anything else.The counsellor to which I was assigned did not take any time between the previous appointment and my appointment (which might be OK practice for some counsellors if able to recall things about their clients, but this one never did). We basically started from scratch at every appointment. Every appointment I was asked if interested in EMDR and each time I had to remind them why the nature of my ABI meant I couldn't pursue it. If their memory didn't suffice then they really should be taking time before seeing me to review their notes.I was very uncomfortable attending appointments because of how the place was set up. There was just no privacy from other clients while waiting for appointments. It was a bustling place and I would often be waiting in the presence of multiple individuals, some of whom were previous clients of my own, as well as former colleagues or mine who were accompanying their clients to appointments. Their initial assumptions were usually that I was there bringing clients to their appointments, so they were puzzled why I was alone, and I was put on the spot to explain or come up with a story as to why I was there. I should not have to do that while seeking counselling services.The setup of the place may be great for some people but the whole experience was not good for me, and I wish I had used my accident benefits elsewhere.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about Sullivan and Associates. The staff and atmosphere are very welcoming. The support, respect and commitment to my well being have been above and beyond. 100% recommend!

I have greatly benefited from my time with Sullivan and Associates. Anyone get benefit from psychotherapy and the team at Sullivan is the best in Thunder Bay.
