I came to into action recovery a very broken person that wasn't able to handle my emotions or be able to manage my own life. I never been away from home very long (the east Kootenays) longer than a couple months. I could not stop drinking it didn't matter what happened car accidents to even almost complete liver failure. I didn't know how to stop and be happy at the same time... It took me a few tries to find long term soberity and each time into action recovery was there to support and love me even when I didn't love myself.I lived 800km away and the bus ticket was paid for all I had to do was listen and follow directions. Through a 12 step based recovery I'm proud to say I'm over 3 years sober my soberity date is September 18th 2019. I can't say enough good things about this place. The structure is great, the staff is amazing and I now have a brotherhood that I will cherish the rest of my life. I now am a support worker in the downtown Eastside I make great money helping others and I've never been happier in my life..They were really there when I needed it and made adjusting to the city less intimidating.This is real recovery ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
