Nipigon Travelers Motel

Located right on the highway 11, this family owned motel was just what we needed. Out in Northern Ontario, a gem like this can be difficult to find... friendly, helpful staff, comfortable atmosphere, a perfect place to relax for the night while traveling. The rooms are small and show some wear but are very clean and equipped with everything we could have needed (toaster, microwave, mini fridge & freezer, coffee maker). The beds were comfortable and clean. Thank you, Nipigon Travelers Motel for your great service.

12.28.22 I have room#7, very cozy small room in the corner of the building. Quiet and super clean, equipped with fridge, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and supplied coffee maker- just wonderful essentials for travellers stop. The owners went for me above and beyond helping me to go around for my needs. Their kindness want be forgotten- I am ever grateful!! Thank You is not enough. Happy New Year to You !!

Rooms were super clean and neat. Road noise a little high due to being right of the highway. Would stay again tho.

My husband and I stayed overnight on April 20th, 2023. Owner comes into room to turn on electric heater and tells us not to touch a lightswitch on wall as it will shut off heater. Outside wall air conditioner was wrapped up for winter, but gaps were between window so it was a bit cool. There was a small hole in ceiling that was plugged with either a kleenex or rag. Very tiny room so one needed to go outside to change one's mind. HOWEVER - the room was very clean and owner was very friendly. Would never stay there again though.

This is a hidden gem. We stayed there on May 1, 2023. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed and bed linens were very nice. Even a memory foam mattress which I love. The staff/owners were very friendly. It was snowing when we left and the gentlemen on the front desk even helped us carry out all of our bags. The price is perfect for what this motel offers. We stayed in an efficiency unit on the second floor so that we could have queen size beds. Well appointed with dishes and appliances. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here on our road trip East; our kids shared a bigger room and we took the smaller one. Our bed was very comfortable and I appreciated all the decorative touches, side tables, lamps and even the coffee mugs. The electrical outlets were a bit fussy - some didn't work - but we figured it out. As a delightful surprise, our room had a back door that led to a small balcony overlooking a stand of trees with lots of birds and miraculously - no bugs! I drank my morning coffee as the sun rose and the mist lifted and there was no indication that I was so close to the highway. I recommend this motel to anyone who appreciates originality and a homey feel to their temporary accommodation.

Great find! The motel doesnt look so good on the outside but the rooms are great, clean and comfortable. For the price this is a pretty amazing find. We had room number 5 which was renovated.

Don't be fooled by the exterior. We were so happy to find a room that was clean and beds that were comfy. If you want the Hilton head to Toronto. Owner is lovely. Obvious need for major updates to building which do not affect the quality of the rooms. We had #9 and could pull right up to the door.

With not many options for an overnight stay, glad we chose this place. A very clean room and comfy beds.The owners are very friendly and helpful which makes this place a little gem!!

Nicely renovated room and bathroom. Very steep stairs with narrow steps to access room. No fire escape plan or diagram on the room door. Fun, eclectic decor. The Heritage" coffee tasted good but we each experienced nausea and abdominal discomfort about an hour later."
