Love this store. The meat and seafood departments are exceptional and the produce is always fresh. Grab some sushi for a light lunch for after your shopping.

Purchased some halibut and asked the butcher if he could cut the skin off and he refused. Others have weighed it then removed the skin which is fine. But this guy said no because he wants to keep his fingers. Maybe he should find a job without knives.

You have a very special group of staff at this store.From your shipping receiver to the ladies that work in the back , The well kept lady in customer service and the big beard guy . All extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. I go to all the Thrifty stores on the island but the workers at the Campbell river store go above and beyond. .

Staff need a refresher course in MANNERS, all except a few(very few) are cold ,short & clipped in responses if you're lucky to even get one bypassing a slight head nod. And this isn't just from a couple of visits, it's after many years,but we've had no choice but to return for obvious grocery selection sold only there. I wouldn't 'recommend' them but if u can avoid it, do so. Go elsewhere. Sorry but when we bring our money & business there we'd expect in the very least, a bit of salutations & hospitality.

If you can't find an item anywhere else Thrifty foods will probably have it. I really like that fact that they buy BC products first. If it isn't available locally then they will look further away for the item. Let's keep our farmers busy growing food and shop here.

I'm giving a 5 because they have the best produce to me. I will only buy my fruit here because it's anyways so fresh except for the odd strawberry batches. And you can find different things here that you can't get at other stores

Fresh and good quality of food!! They have good meat, sea food, and ready to eat food, such as sushi, California roll, and sandwiches. Love the place!

Fresh, Friendly, Great Deli and Sushi areas...try to Tuna Poke if you are on the dash.The produce folks are proud of a good looking display and work hard to keep it that way.Also of particular note is the fresh seafood dept. FRESH would be the operative word.All else is just well stocked, you will be well served and go away happy.I really enjoy the pride shown by staff. EacH department always looks faced up, plump and full. So inviting!
