Just went here for kayak rentals, didn't stay for the night, but it was 10/10. The staff were very friendly and helpful, very clear about directions and answering any questions I had.Though if you enjoy kayaking, I cannot recommend this lake enough. The tunnels and caves are absolutely breath-taking

Easy place to get to, you wont get lost at all. The place is nice but the lake isnt clear. Went canoeing here and its scenery is nice. You'll see a lot of cabins on the side and the best place to visit are the tunnels if you go canoeing. The first tunnel is about an hour away then the second tunnel is about 2-3 hours away but I didn't go that far.

Nice, older resort on a beautiful lake. Cabins are quaint although several are newer and larger. Convenience store with some gift items/souvenirs serves as the office. Boat & canoe/ kayak rentals. New owners are very friendly. Great fishing!

Review is for boat rentals and the tunnels. They have various types and sizes of boats, with or without motors.Drivers license required and some forms need to be filled out. They also give you a quick intro on how top operate the boat and things to watch out for. Was a bit nervous since I've never driven a boat but got the hang of it quickly. We decided to paddle through the tunnels because I wasn't confident in my driving. In hindsight, maybe we should have slowly motored through like the others because it was slow goings with the heavy boat. Beautiful Canadian shield scenery. Saw a lot of backcountry camping spots throughout and/or people hangin out on the rocks. As for the resort area, there are picnic tables and a small beach while you wait for your turn on the boat. You can rent for whole or half day. My thinking is if you plan to not rent the motor boats, and want to visit the tunnels, maybe whole day is better because it's quite a long way on a kayak. Could easily spend a whole day here though, no matter what you decide.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We’ve never done canoeing before so they gave us helpful tips and short training. They have a hourly option so we rented for 3 hours and visited tunnels. Canoes are in good condition and very beautiful place for canoeing.

I stayed in cabin 3 over the summer for a week. The location was fantastic, it was busy on the weekends because they share a beach with one of the public beaches, but it quieted down during the week. Cabin 3 does need a bit of love, the door lock was sticky which we reported to the staff in the store, the shower floor felt a bit soft and the spray out of the showerhead was pretty weak, likely the result of hard water buildup. Boat rentals are right in the store, we spent a ton of time in kayaks and on paddleboards and only had challenges getting kayaks once due to how busy they were, which was on us for not booking ahead. The staff working in the store were great, the guys working the boats on the dock were equally great. We're hoping to return next summer.

We rented canoes to paddle to Caddy Lake Tunnel. The staff were friendly and professional. The equipment was in good shape. The prices were reasonable. A very enjoyable day. The tunnels are well worth the trip. We also stopped for lunch at Boutilier Island which was really nice.

About 30 minutes off main road so it's quite and lots of wildlife. Looks really good for fishing or canoe. Small lakes, small beach, boat and canoe rentals. All firewood, ice and showers in West hawk lake. Campsites very in size and privacy. We had a good experience.

When I couldn't find a campsite to stay in, this attendant greeted me warmly and helped me find a campsite so I could have a place to rest, which I truly appreciate.

Absolutely wonderful location. Visited mid august and the campground was pleasantly quiet throughout the day. Spent an entire day kayaking around and enjoying the tunnels while stopping off to fish for awhile along the way, catching a couple bass.Spent the next day hiking in the area on the many trails, mainly the Mcgillvray Falls Trail, roughly a 4.5km trail.Kayak, canoe and motorboat rentals are also available. Our only downside was some of the tenting stalls were quite small.
