Food is always fantastic and is done fast. Awesome and friendly customer service. I like the dine in experience too. My go to sushi place while home love that it's less than 5 mins from my place. Definitely recommend this place!

(Edit) The owner is such a great guy, very attentive to customer needs- loved chatting with him. Food was 10/10 sushi was presented very well!! My new favourite sushi place in Kamloops!~ I went back to try more items and was not disappointed at all!Didn’t think anything was going to top the Mango Avocado Roll but then I tried the Crazy Vegetable Roll and boy was it good! The chef really does put a lot of effort in his ‘art’, I couldn’t stop taking photos of the plate. Also the size of the roll was massive I could barely eat in a single bite. For dessert the chef suggested the Sunshine Roll and it was so tasty omgFood quality is top tier and I will be going back for more!

We have been to Nishino many times over the past few years, and our recent visit was the best sushi to date. We heard it was under new mgt so thought we would visit again as service and food had slid a bit the last couple years - much due to covid impacts.We prefer dining in the restaurant vs. takeout as the food just tastes better when straight from the kitchen. There are a number of new items on the menu and we always get the sushi dishes. The quality of the sushi was excellent, very fresh and tasty, and rates right up there with the other top places in Kamloops. Food delivery from order to table was very quick despite competing with many takeout orders. The chef/owner (Josh?) is very friendly and came out and chatted with us for a bit. He shared his other menu changes such as including new Korean dishes and other influences. He also mentioned special/unique" dishes that we could call ahead for i.e. a day or 2 that require added prep time if we wanted to try something different.The young lad serving us did a great job. We were the only ones in at the time (late afternoon) so he was hustling double duty with our table and constant takeout orders. The decor remains unchanged but great to dine in again

New owner a year ago. Wow…we’re impressed. Go there for lunch and dine in. They’re doing things in a more traditional sense and the owner provides a very personal experience. Very happy to have this in Kamloops!

I have never written a bad review before (even when I really should’ve) but this place warrants it. First, we sat there for 10 minutes before they even took our drink order, we waited another 10 minutes for the water and pop, in the meantime I asked for a corona and they brought a non-alcoholic beer but not my water. My partner got his food before I got my water (now almost 30 minutes after we sat down), other people got served their hot food before us after coming in nearly 20 minutes after us. When we did finally both get out food, the rice on our rolls was dry, my roll was over cooked and the rest fell apart. I was super disappointed.

We have been looking for good sushi in Kamloops since we moved from a larger city over a year ago, and after trying 3 or so other places that we didn't like we had almost given up. Well we were craving sushi tonight and decided to try Nishino and finally we were pleasantly surprised! The sushi was fantastic. Everything was fresh, rice was super fluffy. Special rolls were great, would especially recommend the Crazy Boy and Westsyde rolls. Will definitely be ordering again.

The sushi has a decent flavor unfortunately there is next to no filling in the roles what I mean is there's pretty much no seafood in it. Had been wanting to try this place for quite a while unfortunately I don't think I will be returning.

Very disappointed. I think the owner ship has changed. The food, very small portions for the price. While the prawns were good they looked like they had been starved. Everything from sushi to noodles was the same temp. Items just subpar. We will unfortunately not return. You can’t spend the kind of money it takes now to patronage local restaurants when the meal is of poor quality.
