Hakim Optical South Edmonton Commons

Went to get contacts. Walked in there was a lady sitting at the till. Did not get up just sat there and spoke across the room to us. Asked about contact lenses and we were just told we don't do that kind of rudely. I had to ask who does and then we were told. We decided to look at glasses anyway because we want to buy some too. My daughter picked some up and tried them on and she got told not to touch the glasses, again the salesperson did not get up from sitting behind the counter she spoke to us from across the room. I could tell my daughter felt uncomfortable and so did I. We abruptly left and will not be back.

I booked an appointment online, confirmed it through email and google calendar. I booked about a week in advance and it fit in my days off- so pretty time sensitive. Not only do they not have appointments on Wednesdays here, the doctor is on vacation for a month. So that's a big fail techweb-wise. They offered to call Millwoods, to which I consented. No answer. Go figure. I should mention I was at Millwoods Hakim Optical and they wouldn't fill a lens prescription based on my current lenses. I required an actual prescription in hand. Um...EVWRYWHERE else in the world including other Canadian cities and stores can either rip it off old lenses or do a quick eye exam for prescription right on premises. Am I missing some new law? Or is this a Hakim thing...

I have worn glasses for many years, and find Edmonton's best to be a terrific value. The price is very welcomed during these difficult times. The best thing I can say is that the customer service Ms. Lakhvir where I shopped (1645-102 St. South Edmonton Common) has terrific customer service.She helped me look up the glasses and she helped me to pick up the glasses. She was very patient and kind. Great customer service!! Thank you for helping me.

We come to this branch every time we need new glasses because it's a convenient location for my family, and we bought three pairs of glasses on our most recent trip to this branch. We worked with Lakhvir, one of the staff members at the branch, to find the glasses that suited our needs and our budget. She seemed very knowledgeable of the branch policies and the available lens options as well. Glasses took a little longer than expected to arrive, and one had to be sent back to get polished. However, we are happy with the quality that we received in the end!

Since closing the Red Deer location I had to go to Calgary to get my glasses repaired and get my eyes examined, I had the best experience with the staff, especially the optician, & the 2 optical managers Candy & Theresa" these ladies took time

My first time at this location, great experience. Lakhvir managed the customers at the store already, and acknowledged my presence when I walked in. When it was my turn, she took her time walking through the store, founds styles I might like, and recommended the best style and fit. I liked that she made her own recommendations, and was honest about which styles suited and did not suit me. I ended up buying the styles she recommended instead of my own! Thanks for taking the time and making my experience a positive one.

Literally purchased all my glasses here since I was young, but today our visit wasn’t the best. Only giving 2 starts just because I believe they do/could do better. The blonde girl who was working was really unwelcoming and made us feel awkward. Super sad because the lady who used to work here was always super nice and friendly, always helped if we required any help. Dont waste your time, go somewhere else.

Second time buying there. Don’t like the glasses at all. Cheap frames. Flimsy.

Waiting for 3 weeks for glasses and contacts. Been wearing glasses all my life, this is the longest I've ever waited for them. Also, close to the most I've ever paid. Glasses are broken, and I've made them aware when I call, no sympathy there. Last time I'll go to Hakim.
