Great neighbourhood store with competitive prices. The owner was very knowledgeable about the products, and helped me decide on an appropriate hanging rope sphere for my parrot. He loves it! She also has a couple of rescue birds in her store with her, providing them with the stimulation of daily interaction, and works tirelessly to educate the public on animal welfare issues. I always enjoy shopping there, and would way rather support a business like this than the faceless big box stores. Bought food for my mother's cat too, as I liked the selection of healthier and more ethical options.

Cascadia has an incredible variety of high quality items, I stop by a few times a month and there’s always something new. And my dog has been happy with all our purchases. What sets this store apart is that Dawn, the owner, is so knowledgeable and helpful and will take the time to give you suggestions or advice. Support a locally-owned business!! Has everything you need that Tisol or something would have, and at much better prices.

Cascadia has always been supportive with our rescue efforts by donating, advocating and educating.If you want to spend your hard earned money in a store that is genuine about their love for all animals, I highly recommend this place.

Cascadia on Main St, Vancouver, is a beautiful, cosy store that stocks a great variety of high-quality, natural pet food and fun toys for dogs, cats, birds and other small animal companions.This is not one of those faceless, big national stores where no-one cares about your pet's requirements. At Cascadia, the owners truly care about customers and their pets. They are knowledgeable and take the time to help you.Another bonus is that the owners bring their adorable 'special needs' rescue birds to the store with them. These birds had been abused by their previous owners and placed in shelters before being adopted by Dawn and Ron of Cascadia. They now live their best life, which is testament to Dawn and Ron's devotion to, and knowledge of, animals.If you would like the very best for your animal companion, visit Cascadia. I cannot recommend this store strongly enough.

They’ve got everything we need to keep our kitties happy and healthy! Tho we’ve been to the store to shop b4, our most recent purchase was delivered and they’ve definitely saved our day! Not only did we receive our online order quickly, but it arrived packed with extra goodies for my kitties! We couldn’t have asked for a better shopping experience!

Wonderful little locally owned store that carries fantastic products, and my go to for high quality treats. Folks who own the place are down-to-earth, and absolutely willing to answer any questions you may have.A simple smile can go a long way here. As someone who enjoys taking time to browse in private, I don't think having clerks babying your retail experience is necessary, as it can be super off-putting. Don't let the odd reviews sway you too much. So very happy that I decided to pop into this spot for the first time a few years ago :~)

Love this store. Friendly, relaxed, great hours and has exactly what I need for my very spoiled cat. If they don't stock it she will do her best to order it for you. I never have to worry about running out of my cats favorite food.

Went to Cascadia for the first time with my 5 year old daughter. Unfortunately I could not stay long. My daughter was looking at some toys and touched some of them (which we all do) - I always keep a close eye on her so she does not handle anything dangerous. The owner(?) warned me not to let her touch some of the health products, which I understood. But after this my daughter was looking at a completely harmless toy, and we were told that it was not a good place to bring children as there are too many things that can harm them in the store. It was a clear please leave" message

I consider myself a generally patient and understanding person. However, with that said do NOT bring your kids here. Hell, the way the owner treats kids or people with children makes me feel sick.THE OWNER HATES CHILDREN! I've had first hand experience, have had friends mention it, and from what I can see... SEVERAL other reviewers here say the same. At this point, it's far from coincidental. And as much as the owner tries to defend her actions, what do they say? Actions speak louder than words.There are many ways to get your point across. Politely remind people who enter the store with children. Guide them to read your signs. Give an introduction to what to expect when visiting your store. Put your bird cages higher. It is YOUR responsibility to keep your customers safe and there are so many ways to do it other than being a straight up B****.Honestly, some people wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Others, like this lady, were born on the wrong side of the bed. Avoid this store like the plague! Trust me, you'll thank me.
