I have to start with the fact that my food was excellent. I ordered the panko shrimp appetizer with sweet chili sauce and it was incredibly tasty as well as a very decent portion. The problem really was that although the restaurant was less than half full the ordering took a long time and then getting food was much longer.

Mr Mikes used to be one our go-to restaurants in Quesnel. Over the past couple of years though, the food and service quality have steeply declined. My last 3 experiences there have been consistently poor, but at least the Antler Ale is still delicious.

Usually is decent. I went here to celebrate my mothers bday, we both got chicken salads, and they gave me undercooked pink chicken. She said that wasnt good and assured both of the salads were covered and asked if i also wanted a dessert. By the time they gave me another salad, my mother finished hers by herself, then i ate by myself. We waited like 15-20 minutes for a brownie and ice cream, when i got the brownie, it was quite cold like they grabbed the brownie straight from the fridge and didnt taste/feel fresh. They then rung me up for 30+ dollars! They charged me for my mothers salad and the dessert, I was taken aback. I asked about that and they said both of my salads were covered, meaning my first undercooked salad and the replacement were free, and I assumed her saying both were covered and asked if I wanted dessert was them reconciling. The whole shabackle took way too long, was quite nuts to me they would word it like that and ask if I wanted dessert without mentioning it will not be paid for.

Updated: So i was reached by Sherri Reinhart who works for Mr Mikes. I never expected that the franchise would go to this extent to rectify their mistakes. I was refunded for my drinks plus i was given a gift card. The communication was excellent from her. She or anyone else didn't even ask me to update or take down my review but great service deserves to be highlighted hence I'm updating my review here. Keep the excellent work guys. Really happy how the situation was dealt with.Not happy with the service neither the food quality and portion. It was an expensive order placed online for a take out. When we got there to pickup they told us that they don't do take out for drinks anymore because of COVID-19 and this should not have been an option available online. Don't understand the concept here but we paid in advance so why not refund the money for the drinks. Server was rude and wasn't accommodating of the situation and brushed us off. The portion was a joke for what we paid. You get way more in dine in. I asked a special dish to be spicy and it was just bland and full of oil. Very disappointed

My husband and I shared an appie and then split our dinner they brought out on 2 plates that was very nice. Lots of food thank you we will be back.

It was busy, service was good. My meal came but it wasn't what I ordered. I tried to get notice but it was impossible. I decided to eat what was given. I finally got someone when they came around to ask and they fixed it right away.. They offered a desert for free but it was my birthday and I would have gotten it regardless....

Sitting here for a beer and appetizer...looked up and saw dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling...lots!!! All you need is a shop vac to clean the place up!!! Not hard to do. Also...no music...dead silent...depressing. make this place a happening" place by bringing up the spirit."

Great staff, top shelf liquor, excellent quality all around. Mr. Mikes has always done a great job, and once again I was spoiled by the Mike size plate of wings! Their original recipe antler lager and ale are my favourite brews to date. No matter what province I’m travelling through I can always depend on this franchise.Keep up the great work!Mike

We were greeted at the door by a pleasant hostess promptly. Seated right away and served shortly by our server. The food and drinks were good for a sports bar type restaurant. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean. Definitely a solid place to meet friends or guests for business.

I have always enjoyed going here and usually it's great. Sometimes there are bad experiences but the majority are good. They've stuck around this long to a point that whenever someone says where should we go everyone's like well. Mr. Mike's is the obvious choice. It's just sad that there's not more options in town to match Mr. Mike's because then it turns into people usually going to Mr. Mike's over and over again and then you get tired of it
