Up North Bike Rentals

We just rented 2 ebikes to go on the Paul Bunyan Trail from Tim at Up North. It was easy, reasonable and the equipment was clean and in excellent shape.

My husband and I got a flat tire on the Paul Bunyan trail near Nisswa and not knowing where the closest bike fix-it shop was, we tried this bike rental. Tim, the owner, was super helpful and willing to fix it on the spot. The patch he did was reasonably priced and done within 20 minutes. Thanks, Tim, for the friendly service!

We rented a bike, not an E bike, for a couple of hours and had an enjoyable ride to the south on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Very comfortable ride with flat/level terrain. Nice shaded areas with some sun on the trails.Owner was very nice and explained everything very well. Prices were very good for all bike rentals.

First time trying out an ebike. Up North Rentals and Tim were amazing. Tim walked us through everything we needed to know about the bikes, which were so much fun and easy to use. Located next to the Paul Bunyan Trail, Up North Rentals is a perfect place to rent a bike from.

Ron and I rented a e-bike for the first time. Tim was excellent to work with. He has very good quality equipment. Will rent again next year when we come back.

Highlight of my trip! We rented electric bikes for 2 hours ($46) our helmets and insulated jump bag were included. We took the Paul Bunyan State trail. Many beautiful vistas, tree tunnels, bridges and overpass. The ebike allows one to pedal as much or as little as they wish. Even if your being assisted, you’re still exercising. The owner is a gem, polite, kind, patient teacher and provider of exceptional customer service. Happy trails!

We rented the 2 person scurvy bike for a couple hours to enjoy the fall colors and really enjoyed it. It doesn’t go very fast and is more of a leisurely stroll but it was perfect for a romantic fall afternoon. Tim was very helpful with giving us tips about the trail and area. Next time we might try a different bike but will definitely go back!

This was our first experience with electric bikes and it was so much fun we didn’t want to stop! Up North Bike Rentals had everything our large family of 8 needed to spend a few hours exploring. Our two hour rental flew by and had our crew not gotten hungry we could easily have biked further. The owner Tim was fantastic to work with, great communication, bikes are in pristine condition, super clean, and economical. The Paul Bunyan Trail is about a block away, paved, mainly flat, with great views, and a lot of tree cover. We opted to ride to the south and even spotted a few deer. I highly recommend Up North Bike Rentals and wish it weren’t 8+ hours away because I want to go riding again!

I rented electric bikes last summer from Up North Bike Rentals to do the Paul Bunyan Trail and when I got done I knew I wanted to purchase one of these bikes for personal use. The owner, Tim is incredible. I worked with him to purchase 2 bikes from the Electric Bike Co. Tim was incredible helpful, knowledge and gave me suggestions and recommendations that I didn’t think of. If you are in the Nisswa area highly recommend renting an electric bike and doing the trail. Owner is very informative about how to use the bikes and gives great advice on stopping points and local restaurants along the local trails that helped our family enjoy our weekend adventures. Highly recommend!
