Travelodge by Wyndham Port Elgin

Nasty drive getting to Port Elgin. Pool and spa not working. Room was nice and warm when we arrived. Had a relaxing beverage. Rooms need a bit of work. But were clean enough for me and my better half.

Super friendly front desk staff. The woman working there was very kind to myself and my daughter. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the hot tub due to cleaning and maintenance. There is no free breakfast but the diner there has GREAT prices and friendly staff. Worth going for breakfast.

Just needs updating, carpets should be replaced and pool liner. Beds were comfortable. Good price considering the area during warmer months.

Good value for the money! Comfortable room. Heater works. I didn't go in the pool and hot tub this time, but I have been in before and it was fine. The little cafe is great and also good value. I also like that there are Kerigs in the room and a full service one in the main office area.

Perfect location, central to many key stores like Walmart, Dollarama, Dollar tree, Canadian tire and many fast food chains and restaurants too...McD, Wendy's, Swiss Chalet and more. Hotel service could be improved. We hung the Please make my room" sign

The staff was great. The front office behind the counter was filthy. Makes me wonder if you don't clean the office how clean are the guest rooms. The room across the hall from mine was open. Looks like it was being used for storage and was also very dirty. There was also garbage on the ground around the property. The only redeeming thing is the restaurant was great. I won't be staying here again.

A great place to stay at Port Elgin. The rooms were clean, the staff were kind and the location is great as you can simply walk to all the nearby restaurants and the beach is a few minutes drive away.The hotel also has a cafe inside which serves good breakfast. Overall, the hotel provides decent amenities worth the value.

The floors were so dirty in our room, when you dropped a towel on the floor, it was brown. There was obvious cleaning neglect as I found someone's notes from early November under the night stand as well as big clumps of hair. I put the service my room please magnet on the door but myroom was never cleaned. Additionally the pool is in terrible shape with a lumpy lining and open broken areas on the sides. Further when I asked if I was able to have a family member visit so that I had support to use the pool due to my daughters disability, I was questioned thoroughly about how many people were staying in my room and reminded the pool is only for guests when clearly I was asking that the rules be relaxed for my daughters accommodation needs. We would not stay at the location again, its a typical run down motel despite the Travelodge name.

Very nice, but the price was high and a chair broke when we sat in it - two spokey-things came out. Coffeemaker didn't work. Everything else was great.
