Taro's Fish
My words are not good enough to describe how good the food are. It is a small store but they have everything you need. If you like the quality and reasonable price sashimi & sushi, they are the best choice.

Taro's Fish Sushi and Sashimi takeout store is a hidden gem for seafood lovers. The quality and freshness of their fish are unmatched. Every bite of their expertly crafted sushi and sashimi bursts with flavor. The friendly staff and efficient service make it a go-to spot for a delectable seafood feast. Highly recommended!

Taro's Fish
Found out about Taro's Fish several years back per friend's recommendation. Never had bad experience with them! Always had fresh high-quality fish from this location. This store reminds me of the fish market in J-Town; after you select your fish from the fridge, you can have the staff cut them for you or bring them home as is. Price is reasonable for quality fish. Easily one of my top 5 places in Markham for sushi and sashimi platters.

Taro's Fish
Update Nov 2020After previous poor experience, I don't plan to try this place again, but one of my family member insisted to try (she had never tried Taro fish before but have heard good things from her friends) so we spend $100+ on a sushi platter that leaves me with more poor experience.....The rice is soggy, and the seaweed is super soggy too.Charged premium price but just so-so quality on the fish and close to zero effort in presentation, i can only draw a conclusion that this place is overpriced.I'll take my money to other places such as IKON sushi and Ai sushi that offers better value.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------People have been raving about Taro fish. I gave this place a try after hearing so many good things but disappointed to find that their fish is very overpriced.Let’s talk about the positive first. The service is friendly and the store is bright and clean. I think the turnover is pretty good (not sure why many people will still come to buy this overpriced sashimi/ sushi). I came on a weekday around 12:30pm and there are constantly 4 people lining up to pay.Things I dislike1) overpriced2) the rice is soggyThe fish quality is similar to Ai sushi, but Ai pricing is more acceptable. For example, Taro’s Fish spicy deluxe roll (4pcs) is $10, Ai roll (4pcs) is $6. Yea the Ai roll doesn’t have hamachi but honestly with all the fish chopped up to small pieces, you don’t really taste the difference.

Taro's Fish
Came by last week. Will come again if in the area. Used to frequent the sheppard location many years ago. Really love the design/layout of this location. Super friendly staff. Good sushi. Grabbed some for my mom and myself had umeshiso (pickled plum & shiso leaf w cucumber) very delicious. I hope many people come and frequent this hidden gem.

First time going to the Markham location (other location in North York). Staff was really friendly and the pickup process was really easy. Able to order online and straight forward. When I called to add to my order they made a mistake when I picked up and they fixed it right away. Pricing wise it is on the higher end but the quality is there as well

Taro's Fish
The rolls and platters are overpriced, but if you buy the sashimi it is very fresh unlike any I have ever tasted. You will definitely not this at any sushi restaurant I’ve been to. Some are close but not this close. Just buy the sashimi and cut it at home, tastes so good.

Taro's Fish
The fish there is good so that’s why I go. However, they say last call for ordering sushi is 5:30, but when I try to call at 5:00, the line is always busy. So I get to the location and try calling from inside the store and still get a busy signal. But the funny thing is I don’t even hear the phone ringing at all inside the store. They obviously shut down their phone lines early. Very disappointing.
