Buttermilk Falls
Hidden Perfection until after we planned our trips today we found Buttermilk falls by accident. We loved the area, the sights, the fall colors, the trails and most of all the falls. Small but very nice. The area was so quiet and not busy even on Thanksgiving holiday weekend. A few couples passed us and we all had the same ideas of family photos overlooking the area of falls colors.

Buttermilk Falls
Buttermilk Falls this month is very dry and we still enjoy the hike. We did a hike around the Albion Falls area (about 6km) is a great way to take in the views. Park at Buttermilk Falls in the Oak-Knoll parking lot, which is on Mountain Brow Blvd north of Limeridge Road E. The landscape is wonderful.

No water. Access to the falls down is blocked.Just you can enjoy the trail and if water is there a good view of falls

Buttermilk Falls
We decided to make a hike of it, so we parked at the Escarpment Rail Trail parking lot, crossed Mountain Brow Blvd and followed a trail which takes you slowly down to the creek bed. Then we followed the creek all the way to the falls.This is NOT a drive-by look-see. We enjoyed the nature hike and the final destination was satisfying. Proper attire is recommended, since you will negotiate a variety of challenges along the creek, like tree trunks, rocks, water and mud. Grab something to use as a walking stick.Those only looking to step out of their car and take a photo should look elsewhere, like the nearby Albion Falls.

I will give this place an average rating- only because you are not allowed to go to the fall and need to view it from afar, so beats the purpose of visiting a fall". The trail walk to the fall is actually better and worth it

Cute little falls. Best to visit in spring and winter when there’s more water. Gorgeous hiking nearby and a short hike from Albion falls. Parking nearby. Please don’t trash the trails! Take your sh*t back with you people. Lot and lots of Timmy’s cups and food wrappers everywhere, your mom is not there to clean after you so take back your trash or finish that coffee/tea before you get on the trail!
