Days Inn by Wyndham Brantford

We called half an hour before the arrival to do booking and the gentleman at the front desk told us that we can stay here for the day gave us the price only for the day from 9-5 and asked us to visit their location in order to confirm the booking. We drove all night and needed somewhere to rest and get some sleep to continue the driving at night. When we went there his supervisor was so arrogant and told us right away that there are no rooms available. We told her that we called only half an hour ago and we were asked to come here to confirm the booking for the day and accused us of lying that if you called only half an hour ago, i am sure you are not coming from that far. Secondly, the gentleman was busy on the call with another client and she told that she will talk to him that why he has told us to come here if they don’t do day rates on Fridays. While we were waiting there for the guy to finish his call, she told us that you can’t stay here because you are listening to the conversation of the guy with the another client but the truth is that we are standing there and waiting for them to finish their business and then try and fix our issue.But it was ridiculous. I hope this lady learns a lesson one day for treating people this way. Zero stars for all this!!

called two days before my visit asking is pets were allowed. The gentleman had told me yes small dogs were. When I arrived and checked in with my dad that’s 84 and step mom that’s 78 and their little less then ten pound dog that wears a diaper and sleeper , I was told no pets allowed. While standing their another person waiting to check in said that their friends were meeting them tomorrow at hotel and bringing their dog cause web site clearing marked said pets allowed. The staff member called the manager and I was told the dog could stay if I took it out the back door for its business and not go through lobby with the dog. He also said there would be a charge and I was ok with that. By this time it’s getting later so we head of for dinner at crabby joes in parking lot. Around ten o’clock I get a phone call from Hotel saying the manger changed their mind we had to leave with the dog . I thought I was in the twilight zone. Your seriously kicking an 84 year out at ten o’clock at night with most hotels booked up. I tried to reason with the hotel but nope and even told me they had to charge me for the night. This is not over I’ll be going right to the top of the chain with this one. Days inn in Brantford are crooks . That manager should be fired on the spot .

Gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a terrible experience with his female supervisor who is very belligerent towards him and could be heard swearing at him on multiple occasions. Rooms are just mediocre in need of a few repairs price point is good

Days in is kind of to be expected, wasn't terrible for the money. The location is convenient for walking around to stuff. Staff was pretty helpful, room smelt a little bleachy but wasn't an issue once I turned on the a/c for a bit. Rooms good size, and beds were decent probably would book again. Pretty random that they called after asking if we took their towels, but oh well

For Reference: Stayed here June 2, 2023 when the heat was 30+ degrees. Price for room was 149+. If rating this place worse than zero was an option i would select it. Upon check in to our room there is no air conditioning, despite it saying these are air conditioned rooms and this is 2023. We called down to the front desk to get it fixed. They came up and said wait 15 minutes it will kick in. We left for the night, and upon return 5 hours later the room was still a sauna. Went back down to the lobby and they tried to tell us to wait another 15 minutes, Which did nothing. I asked for a new room, they said none were available. I asked for a manager on duty, they said none is available, while sliding the Manager on duty name tag off the wall. I have been trying to reach a manager on duty for 4 days now with no luck, don't think she exists. Our toilet did not flush and had no water in it or the tank. Breakfast was microwaved eggs and cereal. With no AC in the breakfast room. The hotel is a dump, very run down and not maintained. The staff working the front desk just say No and have no knowledge of customer service. Despite being a Friday night they had no manager on duty. Even as a last resort, do yourself a favour and avoid this place. Should the MOD read this, I am expecting a call back. It is unacceptable to leave people in a room in 40+ temperature humidity without a solution and a toilet that does not work. Stop avoid my calls.

Worst hotel experience yet! Hall smelled like stale beer and pot, to the point that I felt nauseous every time I had to enter it! Breakfast was a joke! It started at 6:30, I got there just after 7 and there was very little available (see pics). 2 gentlemen came in for a drink, but the cups weren't out yet. They said the breakfast looked the same the day before too!

Worst experience. This is a motel, doesn’t worth your money. I booked two double bed through their website (not third party platform), and I arrived in the evening and was told no double bed, only queen + pull out. The pull out is so uncomfortable and small, and can barely fit a 5 year old. They said they sold out allDouble beds, then why you posted availability? I booked a week ahead, if you know you oversell, why you didn’t let me know ahead of time so I can find other proper hotel? Please avoid this motel at all means, i trusted all the bad reviews for this motel and I had the same experience with them. And cleanliness is also another big issue here.

Honestly a lot of these low ratings are coming from high maintenance baby’s. It’s not that bad. For $100-$150 a night you can’t complain and the room was clean. It’s not the Marriott but what do you expect staying at a Days Inn? It’s a decent budget hotel close to lots of amenities.
