Budget Car Rental

First experience after coming out of quarantine, a year and a half ago when I arrived in Canada, I found a group of rude people with a lousy attitude serving at Budget Kamloops. In the middle of winter I needed a car to make personal arrangements in the country, I made the reservation in advance on the Budget website, they charged me the money from my credit card and I presented all the requirements online, I just had to go to pick up the car. When I arrived at Budget on Notre Dame Dr. a guy with poor customer service skills asked me for my driver's license and a phone number, I handed him my driver's license and gave him the phone number of a friend accompanying me (of course I didn't have my own number here in Canada) I was new in the country, in the middle of winter and a pandemic. The guy refused to give me the car I had already paid for because I did not have my own phone number, I had to walk 2 kilometers with my 5 year old daughter to buy my own phone plan, I was delayed a lot, I missed my appointment at the bank, at Canada Service and a job interview. In the end I complained to the guy and another woman who was there, they didn't care. They gave me the car very reluctantly. The worst service I have received in several countries I have visited, I do not recommend it. I am writing this now because a friend was treated badly recently.

My truck was in the shop for service and had nothing to do so we rented a fun car to pass the time. Got to see a bunch of the area and my daughter absolutely loved the car. Customer service was amazing and the whole rental process was smooth sailing. I'll be back for sure.

My mom and I were experiencing car trouble in the middle of a road trip, and needed a car last minute on a long weekend in order to make our destination. The fellow at Budget was extremely helpful and accommodating and got us back on track in no time. Unfortunately, after we dropped the car off, we realized we needed to rent ANOTHER one with a different drop off location, and again, we received excellent customer service which went above and beyond to help us in a stressful situation. I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, but if the person who helped us is reading this, thank you so very much!

The transmission in my car died on the Coquihalla en route from Victoria to Red Deer on an urgent road trip. After getting towed to the transmission repair shop behind them, I rented an suv from Janice, who was so empathetic and kind, got me exactly the right vehicle for my needs, and was also there to receive it back a week later. The customer service I experienced at this Budget location was outstanding, especially with Janice! Thanks guys!!

I did not have a positive experience with Budget in Kamloops. My booking and reservation was done wrong. I booked over the phone for 1 week. I was quoted $625 for the week and 100km per day. When I picked up the vehicle it was only reserved for 1 day and then when I brought the vehicle back I was charged for the mileage, even though I was quoted 100km/day. I lost my whole deposit for a vehicle I was quoted for 1 week 625, I was charged 500 for 2 days.When I asked about a corporate discount through the company I work for and my areo miles points, the agent was very stand-offish and said it’s too late it couldn’t be done, she would have to cancel the whole thing, start over and charge my card twice.The customer service was extremely unhelpful and blunt.I highly recommend Enterprise. Their prices are way cheaper, you get 1000km for your whole reservation, they were extremely helpful and polite and did everything possibly to make my reservation exactly what I needed and I picked up the same day.

Our car broke down unexpectedly just outside of Kamloops. The staff at this location was SO helpful and kind while I was stressing out.Fantastic service, friendly faces and a nice car at the last minute. Highly recommend.

My car broke down on the Coquihalla highway and I had to rent a car from the Budget Rent a car in Kamloops on Notre Dame Dr. The service I received there was outstanding. Sarah was so helpful and supportive. She gave us their best rate and ensured we had the right vehicle for our needs. She even helped us change vehicles as our needs changed.
