Midtown Chimney Sweeps
I had my wood burner inspected and cleaned and got the okay to use it. Started using it in late October and by November my house filled with smoke every time I used it. Just lit it tonight (December 20th, 2022), and my house was filled with smoke. I want my money back. You said the elbow was not a great idea but said we are good to go to use it. Not!

Excellent service by John. He called ahead and was able to come early despite my house being an hour away from Waterloo in Cedar Rapids. He explained his credentials and training and clearly described the process and what to expect. He left my house clean and tidy and was very courteous. I HIGHLY recommend their services so your house is safe and you have no nasty surprises.

Tim was professional and honest. I called for an inspection and cleaning and he told me it was nearly clean already and wasn't in need of that service. I expressed my concern for safety and he offered a camera guided inspection of the joints. He inspected the roof site also. His honesty saved me money and gave me piece of mind. He was also careful to wear booties over his shoes in the house- without being asked. And he cleaned the glass to the fireplace. Tim even took the time to educate me on how to work the damper and warn me of how easily the chain can be broken if misused. Very satisfied with Midtown and we will use them again!

Jake came on time ( really a little early). Did the job we asked for and a little more. Was knowledgeable, proficient and clean. Very pleasant gentleman. Would be glad to have him back. So if we have any more problems we will call him first.

I highly recommended Midtown Chimney Sweeps of Wateloo. Tim was very professional and did the cleaning without any mess. He even helped with trimming a few branches that had grown too close to our chimney top. Tim recommended that we install a chimney cap which he even had with and installed for us. Great company and will be using them for our next cleaning.

I needed a chimney sweep and my dryer needed to be re-vented. They were on time, called before they came and were very professional in every aspect. Thoroughly explained the needed replacement parts but were not pushy at all which is important to me as a customer. Also were very friendly, fun and also respectful of my home.
