A local dive bar. If that is what you are after. You've found it. Not bad for what it is. Bevvies are cheep. So is the furniture.

Dive bar excellence. This is what a dive bar should be: great characters sitting around the bar drinking bottled beer, paying cash, listening to a jukebox, and getting grief from the bartender in the best way possible. By the time we got out of there we knew half of the patrons by name and had laughed our butts off. Great spot for a few beers.

Man. When I start missing Northern Ontario I come here. The people alone are worth the trip. Good old time working people! Having a beer and shooting the breeze! Friendly bar staff and the owner is a whoot! I love this place. The chairs don't match the tables. But no one cares. Smiles and beer!

Curmudgeons.The pick is a wierdly snobby dive bar.They only want their regulars. $4 bottles = $4. Half pints. Cheap bottles are false ecconamy.No food asside from the owner's salty nuts. Bottles only. Yet they claim to be upscale.They have one pool table dominated by regulars. If you want to play pool go to walshies.The pick has a great jukebox but anything that isn't best of the 80's will get you dirty looks. So its pretty moot.They used to have live local bands but i guess it drove out the regs.Esentially. Walshies does what the pick does but much better.

The perfect small-town bar feeling, mixed with awesome, vibrant and friendly severs, create a truely. nostalgic atmosphere. The servers, along with the local residents always create a great, friendly and energetic, good ol' time.

The Pick & Shovel Sports Bar
Arrived here in town short of a year ago, and was 'captured' by Amanda. She's pretty cool, and runs a tight ship for this cast of characters, solid regulars and friendly folks. Drinks are reasonably priced, and you can have a few if you watch your P's and Q's. My favourite bar in Galt Cambridge.

My on tap beer tasted like sour fruit but the bartender with the blonde hair gave me a free drink in replacement so well made up for. Service is impeccable and on point.
