L&I Variety

I love this variety store due to we ask if they carry international calling card (name company Globe )we ordered a bunch international unlimited calling cards and we pick it up Monday July 16.20.18. We my baby sister we give them thumps up with 5.star. In ordering that said call card unlimited good for a month :they are an awesome variety store .

I adore this little family run business. They are truly wonderful people.

Have been going here forever. Such wonderful, friendly people. They remember their customers and will correct you if you purchase items regularly and grab the wrong one. “ No, you buy this one all the time”.

LI Variety may be a long stand fixture in the Roseland Plaza however I recently went there and discovered they are operating in some very unprofessional, and what I believe to be, illegal behaviour.I recently went there and purchased some items. When the time came to pay I told the person I wanted to pay via debit. The card reader device has a lot of taped over sinage that says no tap. I was told to put my card in. After I did this, the individual at the register quickly turned the machine to face themselves and pressed the ok button very quickly a few times and turned it back to me. I was curious why they were doing this as I have not seen this before in any other establishment before. I was able to see, although the screen cleared so quickly, that my balance had an additional $0.15 added to the total. There was no signage indicating I had to pay extra for the use of the debit machine, nor did they ask me if I was okay with that.I asked the individual at the register, was there an extra $0.15 added to my total. To which they snapped yes and looked away avoiding my eyes. I completed my transaction but made note not to patron this establishment again. It is not the $0.15 extra, it was the liberty that was taken and the fact that I was not told ahead of time that there would be an upcharge. My concern grew to consider what if they mistakenly keyed in the wrong amount, at the point that the card reader was returned to me, it was to enter my pin code. You are no longer able to see the amount of your purchase.This exchange left a bad taste in my mouth so I will be going elsewhere moving forward. I wonder if anyone else noticed this practice.

Amazing store, huge selection of items from snacks to home improvement to decor to smoking goods. Amazing people, so friendly and nice, I’ve been shopping here for 10+ years and they make me feel so welcome every time I step through the door. Wonderful!!
