八本 Baben Sushi

We decided to try this sushi place on a whim, and it was not bad! The rolls were well-made and nicely presented, and there was a good variety of rolls and sashimi in the sets. There was also a decent selection of rolls suited for our kids. Pricing was fair; it's not the cheapest around, but also not too expensive and reflects the quality you get.While Baben Sushi is not the best we've ever had, I'd definitely consider it to be a good option to keep in our rotation of sushi joints to frequent (i.e., it's better than the average value places, but not as crazy pricey as the really good places).I'd recommend calling ahead. My husband called to order before going, but still had to wait a little for the food to be made once he got there (it's a small place, so understandable).

Literally occupying the same space as Mocci bakery, so don't be fooled from the store front. Baben Sushi is almost like a one-man show. Owner takes orders, makes the sushi, and runs the shop. This place is takeout only.We ordered the 40 piece sushi set and a rainbow roll. Quality of the sushi and ingredients are pretty good. The variety you get is different and it's good value for the price you pay.From the sushi set, my favourites were the scallop, sweet shrimp, unagi, tamago, and squid. I was surprised by the softness of the squid, the light sweetness of tamago, firmness of the crabmeat, and thumbs up on many of the fishes too. The rainbow roll was not bad. It tasted fresh in my mouth but perhaps I enjoyed a more saucy roll.Tip: If you know Chinese/Mandarin, best to speak and order using that with the owner as he's less fluent in English. You might need to repeat yourself.It's great value, definitely will order again! Their takeout boxes are really well made and secure.

Chef is friendly, he customizes little but about something we don’t like. The fair price they charged for the good quality sushi, I will definitely come back again!

This is the premium party tray 70pc. Picture not including the toast press sushi that contained. Ate a lot sushi in different restaurants, they provide a variety of high quality and fresh enough sea foods, not fishy at all. Price is fair enough compared with the quality. Must save into my favorite list

Amazing sushi chef !!! Must try always get the best ingredients. It also so pretty to take pictures and taste is very fresh !! Even is a small takeout place but for sure definitely give it a try ! You will love it like I do

I wonder why this place only got a couple of reviews.Their sashimi is super fresh, with the perfect temperature and packed in a beautiful box. The shop is spotless too. I can tell that they were pretty busy when I dropped by the store. But they were so friendly, attentive and kept chatting with me till I've got my order. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

It's our first time ordering from here for company that came to visit. We ordered SP M3 Specialty Mixed Tray that has Sashimi 50pcs, Sushi 25pcs, Maki 50pcs. Well presented and all was fresh and tasted great.. we all enjoyed it and this size can feed 5 to 6 people full but not stuffed full LOL. We will definitely order again from here. If you are looking for quality in sushi, this is one of those places to eat!

Sushi and sashimi are fresh. Definitely will buy again.The passionate chef is professional and sincerely enough to let me choose my favorite fish.The packaging is neat and elegant for social events.

This is basically a one sushi chef takeout joint. Its a combined shop with a bakery. Quality was great, the premium tray 120 pieces for $128 is worth its value. There was 7 adults eating and it was the right amount for everyone.Would highly recommend for sushi takeout. Call in and schedule ahead of time.
