Losing someone very dear, young and suddenly is painful. You are vulnerable, in grief and unable to make sense of your duties and responsibilities. During this time Saskatoon Funeral Home came highly recommended by multiple friends. I am deeply grateful to Saskatoon Funeral Home and the Edwards family and staff. Their dignified support, understanding and presence made a very difficult time survivable. They understood our needs implicitly. Great care was taken to bring my sister from the hospital, to arrange the visitations, support with every request even as days rolled to months. Every wish was treated with sincerity and urgency. They stood tall with a sincere and strong supportive presence. My gratitude to Bill, Eleanor, Morgan for each in the consistent, compassionate support. Gratitude also to the staff Ashley and team. Every call was handled with grace and care and all requests were considered equally important. Its 4 months now and yet I know I can call and get immediate care. The family truly understands their important role in individual lives and the community. Words fail me in expressing their support during a very difficult time. We are fortunate to have SFH in our community. Thank you for understanding the special needs of each individual and community in the care of our loved one.

Saskatoon Funeral Home did an exceptional job in planning my dad’s funeral. We felt that the whole team played a part in the event from Carol who was very welcoming and helpful over the phone to Morgan who answered venue capacity questions. Director Carla met us the day after my dad died and was so kind and knowledgeable in helping us through the worst time of our lives. Her calm and sweet nature reassured us throughout all of the planning and we took all of her advice to heart. Director April was with us the day of the funeral and also assisted with planning. She was extremely considerate and professional. Both Carla and April’s planning, guidance and willingness to answer questions in a timely manner about my dad’s funeral showed us that they cared about him and our family. We would recommend this local business to anyone in need.

I couldn't be more thankful to Morgan and Saskatoon Funeral Home. One of the lifelong stories I grew up with was knowing that my Grandparents had had their first baby pass away at 9 months of age. She'd been buried in Saskatoon although my Grandparents did not live there. They have passed on and now so has my Mom so we're arranging to inter them. I was interested in finding out about bringing the Baby here to have her rest with her parents and sister but had no idea if it was even possible. Morgan was so helpful. He took care of everything. He was kind and informative and arranged something very special for me and my family. We're having a little ceremony on the first day of summer and everyone has been so touched by the story. Bob Taman, recently passed in Saskatoon. His preference for handling his arrangements was Saskatoon Funeral Home, his wishes were known to the family.From the first meeting to discuss funeral arrangements to the completion and follow up after the service itself the family was treated with respect and kindness. Carla Lysyshyn, funeral director, supported our Dad’s wishes in every way possible. Completion of the official aspects of his passing were professionally and quickly done. All parts of the farewell to our father beautifully transpired; the family viewing, the funeral service, the lunch and fellowship afterwards were carried out exactly as planned. Every detail was thoroughly addressed. We were especially appreciative of the kind personal touch offered in such a thoughtful way. It is hard to lose a loved one. It’s a time when the bereaved are vulnerable, perhaps not at their best, but Saskatoon Funeral Home staff accommodated and supported the family thoroughly. Thank you to all who participated in any way to make this loss more bearable and to offer a meaningful farewell to our Dad. We had a simple celebration of life for my husband. I would like to thank Gerry for guiding us through all procedures with kindness. Carla made sure all went smoothly for the luncheon. There was a traumatic event that happened and all staff were so helpful and professional. Thank you to all.

Carla Lysyshyn made the whole process of our mother’s memorial so easy and stress free. She is a very caring, kind and professional person to deal with. She was right there for us the day of the memorial and made sure everything ran smoothly. Our Mother's death was unexpected. We were beyond shocked. The death was 4 days before Christmas. We arranged through Saskatoon Funeral Home to take care of our Mama. Their services, their compassion, their organization and dedication was above and beyond our expectations. From Lance being our first contact, to Bill. Then Carla taking care of our Mama to Eleanor following up after. Undeniably the best care ever.We are a very tight knit family, and this was smooth for us. We highly recommend SFH. Our family has used Saskatoon Funeral Home after the loss of both Mom (2008) and Dad (2023). The staff were very helpful and compassionate on both occasions. Access to the online Cadence Executor Assistant was extremely helpful in navigating many decisions in a short period of time.

Saskatoon Funeral Home and specifically Carla Lysyshyn assisted our family with our father's cremation and memorial service. She is simply the best!
