Shoppers Drug Mart

I went here today for taking passport photo, surely the lady who did it was not a photographer, just don't waste your time and your money, I asked for refund and went somewhere else.

I had a poor experience at this location.I am in a situation where I have only a couple days left of my prescription and my next doctor’s appointment to have my prescription renewed is also a couple days out. I have had issues with Shopper’s refilling my prescription promptly and I cannot go without this particular prescription so I went in to request just a few extra days of pills just in case there was a delay. My prescription is NOT a controlled substance, and pharmacists in Ontario have prescription rights yet the pharmacist did not take me seriously and denied me my prescription despite me providing all of the information I gave above. All I wanted was 2 or 3 days extra, not a refill, but the pharmacist spoke to me condescendingly as if I didn’t know what I was talking about and said she “was sure” I wouldn’t go without my prescription, despite the fact that I’ve had issues with Shopper’s being on time in the past.I left and called Rexall, explained my situation, and the pharmacist there was surprised that they wouldn’t give me any extra pills. He had me come in right away and I was treated very kindly and promptly given some extra pills. I will be going there from now on.

I missed when this place used to close at 9 pm. It gave people way more time. I thought they were changing it back to 9 pm. Other then the reduced hours I love coming here it is really close to where I live in the downtown core. I have my medications here.

I went to the pharmacy to get assistance with a medication a pharmacist can prescribe, and when I didnt hear back after 2-3 weeks, I called and they claimed to have no record of me, though I have receipts from that day. The pharmacist continuously cut me off, refused to help me, and told me to go to my doctor, which I already had. Not helpful.

I have to say, I really do like this Shoppers store. I've purchased a great many items from different departments, and I use their post office regularly. Staff are helpful and generally upbeat, and I can tell you those of us who live downtown would dearly miss this store if it were ever closed.

EDIT: To add to this review, I was just stopped and told I can’t have my drink inside this store? So what am I supposed to do when I am on foot, and have a fresh coffee that I just got from next-door? I have quite frequently brought coffees into this store. I then look over and see another guy walking around with a coffee in his hand, but I can’t have mine? Since when is this a policy in shoppers drug Mart, it’s not like a clothing store, where a spill would cause damage to product. He then asked me to leave it unattended at the cosmetic desk… Leaving a drink, unattended, as a woman just doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. I continued to grab the two items I needed, with my drink, and leave.Not surprised to read multiple other reviews on here complaining about the pharmacy. I went to pick up a prescription and was the next person in line after the person being served at the counter. That person was having trouble with their insurance, so a line continued to build up behind me. The pharmacy assistant then passed the customer on to someone else, I was assuming so that she could get the line moving. But no, she just walked off and disappeared. At this point it has been almost 10 minutes and no one had even acknowledged me. Do you ever start to feel invisible? The pharmacy assistant who was helping her finished up and then walked away and continued to ignore the growing line. I finally had to say “excuse me” to even be acknowledged, and even then the pharmacy assistant was rude. I literally felt completely ignored while standing there patiently. I understand they are likely balancing many things back there, but acknowledging the real people standing right in front of you, even to just say “I’ll be with you in a minute” is important. It shouldn’t take 15 minutes to pick up a regular prescription.

I expected better. We signed up for a flu vaccine for an under-5 kid, and the website confirmed the appointment, his age, etc. We arrived for the appointment and the pharmacist told us that they don't have any vaccines for young kids.Would a courtesy phone call have killed you? This turned into an avoidable exercise in anxiety, as the kid started worrying about the shot for days instead of for a few minutes.Please try to be more professional.

i dont know how shoppers is a pharmacy chain when they are consistently the WORST pharmacies. i have no idea why they dont have anyone ever answering the phones, but anytime ive eve had to call a shoppers, im on hold for 10+ minutes if anyone ever picks up. the absolute worst customer service

Just went to this Shoppers about an hour ago. Everyone is nice and helpful. The Part Time Worker named Sarah She was so nice. We had a good Conversation tonight. And also another staff (Finally figured out his name. Alex) is nice too. He actually spend some time for me to find out the Water that I want in the Pharmacy area. Great job Guys. Certainly a 5/5. 100/100
