Avis Car Rental

Great cars, good price, friendly, good service and diligent staff. I reserved online, I have been renting with them for more than 3 years, I have never have a problem.

I returned my rental on February 12th and flew back out of YXX to YEG. Once I arrived home, I realized that I had forgotten a very momentous gift that I received during my trip in the glovebox of the SUV I rented.I have spent the last 3 days calling every AVIS customer service phone number I can find and have even tried calling the YXX airport and other Vancouver locations to try and reach someone there who can retrieve my item for me so I can have family in the area come and pick it up asap. I cannot speak to anyone about this and every phone number redirects me to an international call Center or disconnects me. I have rented through this branch several times and if I do not hear from any of the employees at the YXX branch to claim my item back, I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I am supposed to rent a car for 30 days but because of your poor customer service I decided to rent for 5 days. Avis had the audacity to charge my credit card $ 1268 for 5 days. Worst experience I have ever had. shame on Avis car rental

Would give -100 if possible! Absolutely the worst service and agent (Sonia) was rude and condescending. Had rental car confirmation, they wanted us to take a “premium” car for 5 times the price which they had on the lot rather than our reservation. Would not give us a car even though we had a reservation unless we paid 5 times more for the premium cars they had available. We’re then told we could wait for cars to be returned in a couple of hours. Really sit in Abbotsford airport and wait a minimum of 2 hours for a car. Rude customer service and doesn’t honor their rental reservation. Get a car from Pacific Car rental. New in town, great service, they pick you up at the airport.

Sonia at this location provides the most wonderful customer service. She helped me with the car that works perfectly for the weather and saved my holidays. Would always recommend to rent from her at this location!

We booked from Germany a car at Vancouver airport. The confirmation said Ford Focus or similar. The confirmation from Avis Vancouver said Hyundai Accent or similar which would be okay too. At Vancouver airport we had to sign all documents before we could see the car. The car we got was much smaller as a Ford Focus or a Hyundai Accent. On the next day at our friends in Abbotsford we thought, that's not right, to get a much smaller car than confirmed. So we contacted Avis in Vancouver and got the information, that we have to accept the car because we signed the papers. Very funny according the fact we didn't see the car before we got it. Our friend suggested to drive to Avis at Abbotsford airport. And then came Bal - he listened to us, made a call and within 15 minutes we got an upgrade. We had to fill up gas at the first car, what was ok of course and could leave with the upgraded car. So in summary 3* for the Avis company for being so smart to hire Bal and 5+ * for Bal who did an excellent job and showed, was real customer service meins.

Picked up my rental two days ago at the Abbotsford Airport location. Tires weren't inflated properly and it stinks of cigarettes. Now the oil change light keeps coming on and customer service gas been absolutely horrible in terms of figuring out a solution that doesn't royally inconvenience me. No way to contact the actual Avis location in question, phone routes to the call centre.

The rental agent, big guy named Bal really came to my aid when I was screwed over by another rental agency. He was super polite, funny and had me in a vehicle within minutes.Even though there were a couple of people waiting behind me he took his time to properly go over the rental with me instead of rushing me out of there.Even his coworker, Navv who helped me locate my car in the lot made sure I was good to go.Definitely going to return here for my next rental!!

Sonia was amazing with taking care of my complex reservation. She bent over backwards for me, even when I lost my wallet in the mix! The whole rental process was super smooth, including with the car itself.
