I went to this clinic a number of times and did not have a good feeling about them. The doctor was personable but I was not confident in her assessments and what she prescribed. She seems to err on the side of over-medicating. For simple blood work and assessments she prescribed 2 pain meds when vets at other clinics did not use any. More recently we asked for a prescription for our dying dog while we were out of town so we could pick it up from another clinic. They said they did not want to send it to us without another assessment (and fee) so they could remeasure her weight for the appropriate dosage when it had only been 3 weeks since the last assessment. Her weight was unchanged. Previously she also said she was willing to give us the same meds for us to use weeks down the road. This made me think that she cares more about profits than the patient. We also wanted to know what diet would best work for our sick dog and she seemed unsure and recommended dry kibble that she sold. A specialist from the boundary bay clinic gave us a more thorough response with information backed by studies. She actually did not recommend dry kibble. Like others have said they charge a premium for the same services elsewhere. I called another vet to compare prices and yorkson vet was $200-$300 more. At one point she just told me to go somewhere else if I didn't like her prices.

I have been taking my cat in to this clinic for quite a while now, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. The staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The vet was very informative when walking me through what we were going to do for diagnosis and treatment for my cat (he had a very bad persistent cough) and they were very prompt about booking diagnostics and then ordering the special order medications for him and letting me know as soon as they came in. Everyone is very professional every time I go in there, and they're very thorough and cover all bases while still being considerate of the clients thoughts and feelings and the animals needs. I would highly recommend coming here with your animals!

As a student of Insignia College's Veterinary Assistant Diploma Program, I had the honor of completing my practicum with this hospital.Under Dr. Corfield's tutelage I learned so much about true compassion and consideration for every pet parent and patient. The love for animals shown in this veterinary hospital is evident from the various techniques used to calm, soothe and reassure every pet, as well as the excellent treatment they receive with Dr. Kim.The staff here is personable, understanding and they genuinely care about your pet's life, and your life with your pet. They are knowledgeable and friendly, and really just want to provide the best quality of service for every patient.Highly recommend for all pet parents out there! From a student VA's (back of house) point of view, this hospital/Dr. Corfield is someone you can trust with your valued family member.

We took our puppy here many times and always had a weird feeling about the resolution of his issues. One issue would resolve but we would be back almost every month for medication for him and the problems kept on returning. Our last straw was when our puppy was vomiting and having extreme diarrhea and we were told to bring him in. Automatically had to authorize to spend up to $500 on treatment if required. We were then called and told since it was near closing we would have to come pick him up and transfer him to a emergency vet to continue treatment with no real answers form then and a $900 bill with no medication we would have to give him. Proceeded to take him home and call other vets in Langley to get a second opinion. Our new vet requested X-rays that were apparently taken but nothing was ever sent over. Our new vet had questioned why he was given nothing to relieve any of his symptoms and why they sedated him when he is such a friendly dog. Also shaved his leg and never told us to not let him lick it and it turned into an infection that required a cream and cone for a week. Our new vet treated our puppy and we have never had any of the same issues return. We will never be bringing him back to Yorkson Creek and will not recommend this vet to anyone we know unless you want to spend a ridiculous amount of money and have continuous problems with your pup.Edit: In response to their message you never left me a voicemail. And no you couldn’t take Enzo’s temperature because he is traumatized from every time you guys would take his temperature. Our new vet has mentioned how scared he was to get his temperature taken. Pretty unprofessional to state a dogs full medical history without our consent.

We have been taking our dog Archie to Yorkson Creek Veterinary since we got him over 2 years ago - and have been very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, and quality of care he has received. Would recommend!

While I find the staff very friendly and accommodating, I also feel like the business is a money grab. My lab is excited to visit the vet, but not unmanageable and calms quickly. Part of my expense is the drugs they ask me to give him prior to the visit. I have complied like the fur loving mama I am, but the more I think about it, the more I feel it is not ok and ultimately not even healthy for my pup. To give him this expensive sedative medication for a follow up visit in 7 days for a non life threatening issue so that the vet can deal with a more docile dog for 30 seconds of evaluation...no thank you! This was our last visit to Yorkson.

As a regular patient at Yorkson, my dog was not doing well today and was throwing up multiple times as well as having diarrhea. I called thinking that they would be accommodating to atleast check him. Instead, the receptionist was very confrontational, kept insisting they were fully booked and to book an appointment for the Monday which is 2 days after the fact. We’ve been going there for 2 years and spent quite a lot there. It is unfortunate that the staff has zero care and this is the last time I will contact them. We will definitely miss the Vet but glad that a different clinic was kind enough to squeeze our fur baby in and provided him with the care needed.

I went to this vet as I live very close. Staff is friendly and the vet's seemed nice, but their pricing is way above average. If you're looking for a top dollar vet this will be it. I took my new kitten here to get all of his shots and 2/3 times they told me he had fleas, and they even wanted to put him on a flea treatment for the next 6 months. I never saw a flea on him or in my condo (seemed like extras they were just adding onto the bill) but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Then the 3rd time my partner took him, no more fleas, what a coincidence. When inquiring about neutering, microchip, and tattoo for my kitten their quote came in at over $600. When a normal vet's price is around $200-$250. They also wanted to charge me over $200 for a PRE treatment before even doing the surgery for a blood and urine panel when they had just examined him and have been examining him for the past 6 months. Make sure you do your research prior.
