We came here for our birthday dinner after hearing several recommendations from locals. We made reservations the night before, but I would do it several days out of possible. Everything was so yummy! We shared a salad and main dish. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely little italian restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible! I’m not much a fan of typical-faux italian food but this was the real deal, and boy was it delicious. I have celiac and I really appreciated the fact that they labelled the gluten free (upon request) versions of their food. Not only did they offer me gluten free pasta but I got free gluten free toast with their bread dipping oil! I was so incredibly impressed by this, I didn’t feel left out while my crew ate the pre dinner focaccia bread. Wish every restaurant offered this!I got to try their Carpaccio, I had never tried raw beef before but it was simply amazing. The meat was tender and easy to bite and the combo of parmesan and arugula really elevated the dish.

Lovely spot! Definitely make reservations ahead of time as it fills up quickly. They gave us a little tiramisu for our birthday! Bathrooms are gendered, but individual rooms.

Really feels like a little Italy; lots of people, reservation available, music, Italian speaking servers and wonderful general atmosphere. Opens right at 5pm, so if you reserve for this time, expect to stand outside till 5. Food is delicious, great serving sizes and filling food. Can cook items to preference, but anything on their menu is delicious. There are space dividers between tables making it comfortable, but the dividers also allow for the general atmosphere to continue as they are clear at the top and have a custom design on the bottom. Beautiful garden with string lights, again, very romantic in atmosphere. Great for dining as a couple and as a small group (max is 6). Many thanks for the great food!

Great experience all around. I'd say a 4.8 if we could be more precise and definately would recommend and would come back again. Carpaccio was excellent and the antipasto would be worth the visit for a nice glass of wine for a quick visit. Pasta special for the night was tasty but I could have used a bit more cream in it.Service was great.The only very minute critique was that I've had a phenomenal panna cotta before so it wasn't my best and although it was great, I enjoy it a bit less gelatanous but it was still great.

The drinks, caprese salad, polenta, and cannoli were 5 stars. Where they lost stars: my vegetarian guest ordered the pappardelle ai funghi (v) but was served the tagliatelle alla genovese which has beef. We didn't send it back because we had the last seating of the night and didn't want to make a fuss. The tagliatelle noodles are fresh, but were very heavy. The focaccia was spongy and crispy on the bottom, but salty. We wanted to write the restaurant directly, but they don't have a way to contact other than by phone.The atmosphere was dark and intimate, great for date night, especially if you get what you ordered.

Great experience here last night. While Spaghetti and meatballs isn't on the menu, they obliged and I am so thankful. Absolutely delicious! Loved that the sauce was meaty as well. My wife had the basil pesto gnocchi, and this was also fantastic, although I would struggle to eat it all because it packed such a punch of flavour. The house wine is great, much better than the usual house wine you get elsewhere. The antipasto platter is an amazing presentation, as well. Excellent service.

Il Covo is a place that we have wanted to try for years. Having finally had the opportunity to eat there I can confidently say that our expectations were exceeded by miles.I had the risotto special (Creamy Saffron Risotto with Beef Stew) and my wife had the Tagliatelle al Genovese. Both were fantastic. The prosciutto and melon was also good. The dessert cannoli were amazing.We will likely go back for other special occasions.

Fabulous Italian restaurant, it was our first time to Il Covo and it did not disappoint! Everything was fantastic, food, drinks, service...all top notch! You know you're in good hands when you can't decide between the berry coulis or chocolate hazelnut sauce for your pannacotta, so the waiter brings you half and half! We had an amazing dinner, can't wait to visit in the Summer and enjoy the beautiful patio.
