Dr.Benjamin Pook

In 2019 I had a bad rotator cuff injury and had it repaired by Dr Pook. He was amazing before, during and after the surgery. He was honest, explained well and did an excellent repair job. I am now fully recovered and truly thankful for what he did for me. Highly recommend Dr Pook as a surgeon.

After having such a horrible experience with Dr. Stamp in the Guelph General Hospitals Ambulatory Care Department, I was wary and scared about going to a different Doctor to finish the care for my broken wrist. Dr. Pook was everything I needed at the time, all the staff was caring and listened to my needs. I am very thankful to have gotten the chance to switch to this doctor instead. I highly recommend Dr. Pook if you are in need of surgery as well. Great surgeon and the best bed side manner I’ve seen in any doctor. All I have are words of gratitude and praise for Dr. Pook.

I had shoulder surgery 3 weeks ago and would highly recommend Dr Pook for this, he was amazing, he explained everything to me that I needed to know. His office got me in right away booked surgery right away...Great office and great experience all around, 5/5 for me!!

When I first met Dr. Pook, he was professional and straightforward. However, subsequent visits were dramatically different and he became more closed off and less willing to cooperate. As a deaf patient, I had requested that he accommodate my disability by writing down his questions/answers or use a clear face shield or an ipad with speech to text apps. He did none of those and proceeded to speak through a mask which made it impossible for me to understand him. I had severe pain/injuries in both shoulders and when he assessed them, he said there was nothing he could do" then turned around and walked out of the room without giving me a chance to ask any questions. I left his office in tears. He didn't bother to order an ultrasound

I went to see this Dr after waiting 6 mths, for my diagnosed tennis elbow,that was diagnosed by my family Dr. I was referred to see him for my issues, I seen Dr Pooke.The staff there are rude and not very professional.Dr Pooke seen me and this appointment, this was a waste of time. Dr Pooke did nothing, except look at the file that my family dr sent him.Then tried to sell me a brace for$50,also suggested a hydrocortisone shot, which was also going to cost me $40. Funny because I have got this shot for my shoulder problems before, FREE at my family dr. I believe this dr is not very professional, and only cares about making money. More than your issues of health.This can be seen buy the expensive car he has parked in the driveway! Oh and also this dr's office charges ya $3.50 to park too Figures this also shows this practice is all about the $$$. DON'T GO TO THIS DR FIND ONE THAT CARES ABOUT YOUR HEALTH NOT THE MONEY UNREAL! Also my appointment was for maybe 10 mins he didnt touch my elbow look at it nothing ! What the heck kinda Dr is that! ONE THAT LIKES THE MONEY NOTHING ELSE!!!

Truly thorough and thoughtful. A sincere, respectful and considerate surgeon. I will be driving 3 hours to him for another operation on my other shoulder!! I have not one negative thing to say about Dr. Pook.
