Osteria Giulia
Thank you for the BEST meal we've had in all of Ontario, and Canada. We've eaten at several Michelin Star restaurants around the world, including some in Italy, and Osteria Giulia does not disappoint. I'm Italian, and this was the first time I've had a better Italian meal, outside of some of the finest restaurants in Italy. Osteria Giulia is every bit as good, maybe even better, in my opinion. They're everything you could imagine, and more, from a truly magnificent Italian restaurant. Anyone who doesn't agree, doesn't understand fine Italian cuisine. Disregard the misinformed reviewers. The food, flavour profile, seasoning, temperature, ingredients were all done to perfection. The service was exceptional, Thank you Ashley!A sincere THANK YOU to all of the hard working staff, and phenomenal Chefs for making our Anniversary dinner simply perfect. We cannot wait to come back soon, and bring our entire family, to experience some of the finest cuisine Toronto has to offer. My only wish/ask is that it would be easier to obtain a reservation in the near future. It would be nice to be able to call the restaurant directly and book a reservation at any time, rather than wait two weeks in advance through Open table. I'd visit every weekend if reservations were easier and more readily available! :) Thank you!

Food was nice but don’t think it deserves a Michelin star. We both had the SPAGHETTONI ai RICCI di MARE, the pasta and the sauce were incredibly delicious. However, the urchins on top had a weird smell. It was really noisy and tables were quite close to one another. We did not enjoy the ambience there.

I went here with a friend who was visiting Toronto for the first time and the restaurant blew us away. Would recommend this place as the go-to for anyone hosting family & friends looking for an authentic and intimate Italian evening. Our waiter Lorenzo was super nice and kindly walked us through the menu. I really enjoyed their pasta dishes and my only regret is not ordering the risotto which I’ll definitely go back for.We had the pistachio cake for dessert and the sorbet that came with the cake may be the best I’ve ever had.Oh and the lamb chops were very incredible. I unfortunately don’t have any pictures of the main dishes because we dug into our food and only remembered to take pictures later. They have an extensive wine list but we couldn’t try any because we were doing a dry Saturday.

Beautiful restaurant. The staff are kind, and the food is impeccable. All the flavours in a dish are carefully thought out and blend with one another.Note that you have to order your appetizers and entrees / mains at the same time (which is very fair as the restaurant is very popular!!) The cocktails here are a must-try as well.

What a wonderful little restaurant. It’s cozy and modern and the food is spectacular. We reserved a few weeks earlier and were seated at the bar. The drink recommendations were perfect. The Tramonto Friulano is great for those sensitive to the alcohol taste. The Messicano is very light and fresh. We ordered a bit from each part of the menu. The honey on the Burrata e Caviale really enhanced an already delicious dish. The Focaccia di Recco was like a cheesy flatbread pizza-quesadilla, fun and sharable. The Lorighittas al Mare had the most interesting hand-braided noodles that kept me wanting more. The Frutti di Mare alla Griglia had four different types of grilled seafood and the portions were very generous. I can’t emphasize enough that the squid, lobster, and scallops were cooked just right. For greens, we added the Cavoletti. We probably had too much food as we did not have room for dessert but it’s an ideal restaurant for ordering multiple items to share so that everyone can try a bit of everything.

Food is here definitely tasty and a lot of thought and detail is put into making sure the texture/doneness of the meat is perfect - for example all the seafood was perfectly cooked & not a second over which was impressive. However, done of the dishes really wowed me. Especially the focaccia, that one was actually quite basic and disappointing. I think you are paying a lot for the service here and the prices are quite high for what you’re getting. I’d come for a special occasion but I wouldn’t say I was blown away.

Service and atmosphere were amazing - exactly what you would expect of a Michelin star restaurant. The food is pricey ($30+ per dish) and overall the food was good. Focaccia, capaccio and octopus were delicious. The pastas were good but not wow. The pasta was cooked well but the sauces were lacking depth. Overall, great experience but I had higher hopes for the food.

Everything was on top. Very attentive service, waiter suggested to change cocktail when I said it was “okay”. Very attentive service. Food was delicious. Our favourite- octopus, rack of lamb, veal carpaccio and tortellini with ricotta. Recommend this place

A lot of hype regarding this place and it did not disappoint. The pasta is no joke. The sauce and morel mushrooms in the tortelloni verdi is divine. No other way to describe it. And the cauliflower side had personality and strong spice to it that I loved. Not a single bad dish. From the octopus appetizer to the pistachio cake. I hope to come back sooner rather than later
