Wild West Water Wells & Pump Service

I contacted Wild West in early 2022 because they offered a full service package, including drilling and install of pumps, and servicing after install, if necessary. I hired them to drill a new well and install the necessary piping, pump, in well pressure tank and pump controller to supply my home with potable water. Prior to that I had been on a shared well, but it wasn't producing enough water for two households.The estimate was based on the depth of recently drilled wells in my area, and we had to go a fair bit deeper to get a good flow rate, but that wasn't something anyone had control over. COVID-19 also delayed the process a few times, and we discovered some unexpected bedrock that made running the water lines more difficult than anticipated, but they got the job done for me and the water is plentiful!EVEN BETTER is the service they have provided after unfortunate lightening strikes in my area that shorted out the pump controller and transducer. They respond right away to questions and concerns, and when they were unable to come out to complete repairs until the following week, they provided me with a huge portable water tank, pump and pressure tank to supply my home with water until the repairs were done. Living in the rural Kootenays, this level of service is exceptional. Everyone I've worked met who works for them has been professional, courteous and hard working. Definitely recommend!

We had a well drilled through your company and have to say that as a business owner myself both me and my husband were extremely pleased with all the great direct communication, explanation of contract, the answering of all our questions properly and very knowledgeable was greatly appreciated. Wild West provided good service at a site that appeared to be a challenge for drilling for water. They responded well to some site engineering requests and worked successfully in communicating remotely during the difficult year of Covid 2020. It is clear that this is a team that is professional and motivated to take care of their clients. Strong recommendation for a job well done!

We were out of water, Chris prioritized us and we had a crew the next day, , Ben is a real asset on site, we brought up 160 ft of pipe and discovered the pump developed a hole in it, hence no water, replaced pipe, pump, motor and wiring, as everything was was over 30yrs old!!

I recommend getting a written estimate for all services and planned components of your well prior to signing Wild West's drilling contract (Pump/Pressure Tank/Transducer/Piping/Valves/Wiring/Hydrants/Taps/Installation Equipment Rental/Labour/Freight/Fittings/Water Quality Testing).My well (placed at the location Chris recommended) needed to be drilled over double the depth of the existing wells in my area. His verbal estimate of $10,000 for a working well fell far short of the $17,000 for drilling services & additional $17,000 for putting the well into service for our needs. Rookie move on my part for not getting various bids on the project prior to awarding the contract.A verbal estimate & a handshake will only get you halfway into your project & significantly over your projected budget with these folks.Kelly Pengelly, February 2023
