I think they have insulated 4-5 houses for me, the first one was sometime in the mid-1990’s! Always top notch work!

Due to the ice this year we were worried the insulation was going bad in our fifty year old home. Todd came out with an infrared camera and showed us not only was our insulation in great shape but he came out for free. He was an honest and kind contractor not looking to sell us something we didn’t need. I highly recommend this company due to their integrity.

Arne came out and gave us an estimate and was by far the most knowledgeable of all companies that came out to quote the insulation of our 1 1/2 story attic space. We choose to spray foam the underside of the roof deck. Arne promptly answered all of my many questions leading up to the day of install. I'm very happy with the quality of workmanship and customer service they provided. The Houle crew were on time and polite and cleaned up after they were finished.

I had four insulation companies out to quote me. Houle was the last one. Everyone else quoted me ~$7,500 to blow in insulation, which would require removing pieces of siding, the wood would get damaged, we would need to repaint, etc. Then Todd came. He was the ONLY person to actually look BEHIND the back plaster and discover... the walls were already insulated! He talked me out of a job and gave me some good recommendations about other things to do to make my house warmer in the winter. He even found a dripping pipe in my basement!? Wild. Definitely going to rely on Houle for any future insulation projects.

Incredibly honest and helpful! We needed help troubleshooting what we thought was an insulation issue. The receptionist was very kind and patient with me and was able to get someone out in a little over a week. Houle came out to investigate/give a quote. Turned out to not be an insulation issue and he advised us on our next steps. We got a lot of help and answers on a long term issue and didn't have to pay a dime (yes, we tried). This kind of honesty and integrity should be rewarded. I advise anyone who needs insulation help to use Houle!

We had been plagued with ice dams and water intrusion the whole 19 years we've lived in this house. We had re-done the roofing and insulation three times before this last approach! We had contacted Quarve Construction about a metal roof, they said no, there's a better plan. They work closely with Houle and together they coordinated schedules to fit us in and pull the roof back and properly insulate in the same day. They were professional and on-time. Even the company who did a blower test on our house to find the 'hot spots' knew of Houle and said they were excellent. I was pretty confident after they left that things were resolved, but here we are in January with NO ice dams! It's like a dream come true! I HIGHLY recommend them!

Todd, the professional from Houle Insulation who came to my home to do an estimate was excellent. He was very professional, honest and kind. After evaluating my current knee wall insulation, he told me how to solve the problem on my own. He did not try to sell me unneeded insulation or venting. I would recommend Todd and Houle for their honesty and knowledge.

I want to thank Arne and his crew from Houle Insulation Inc for the fantastic job they did on the removal and installation of insulation in my attic and basement rim joists. First off I got bids from at least 6 different vendors and all of those were rated high and were Xcel certified for rebates. One of them (I won’t name, but they specialize in “green” foam insulation) didn’t even inspect the attic area and just wrote down 2 prices, on company letterhead, one of the attic, and one for the basement rim joists for a whopping $9200 and said if I agreed right then, he’d knock off $1000. The other 5 were MUCH better and had similar quotes for the work to be done. Arne was by far the best one I had dealt with, and gave the most informative feedback on the work that needed to be done. Houle’s quote wasn’t the lowest, but after going over the other 2 that were in contention, Houle’s was the best. It took a few weeks to get on the schedule, but the day of the project they were here promptly and got right to work. I had insulation removed so a dumpster was delivered the day before and boy, did they need that. All insulation was removed from attic and basement rim joists. They took the time in advance to put down drop cloths and plastics to keep my home as clean as possible given the messiness of the job. The insulatanin and old chutes were removed, new larger and more in quantity were installed. The attic decking was air sealed and cellulose was blown in to get my R-value to 60. In basement the “pink” fiberglass was removed and it was foam sealed to R21. The previous insulation was “good” but I can’t believe how noticeable it has already been. During the last heat spell, the upstairs just radiated and maintained the heat so cooling naturally or with AC was a challenge and the temps on main level would be 5+degrees different. After Houle’s work, the upstairs no longer gets as hot and the temps are balanced and with AC on I can get the temps even to a degree, and it stays that way, don’t need to run the AC as often. I can’t wait to see how it will be when I have to run the furnace. In closing, there are at least 2 other companies in the Metro that I would consider to insulate my home, and even those 2 spoke highly of Houle Insulation Inc, and you will too if you need their service.

This is a review in progress, but I would like to say that I hired Houle to give me an estimate to seal and insulate my attic. I found him to be very kind and knowledgeable. Their quote was reasonably lower compared to the other competition. I also just get a good feeling working with this company. They guy did not try and sell me one bit and I love that. Just gave me the facts and what it’ll cost and done. I’ll keep you up to date on the job if I decide to go ahead. Lots of current projects right now.
