Yellow Cab PEI

I called Yellow Cab after my first taxi that I had pre booked didn't show up for my trip to the airport. The person said it would be 20 mins. I reiterated the time to ensure they realized I was already late for my flight from the previous taxi no show- he assured me it would only be 20 mins. I called them 20 mins later, and the dispatch said that his only driver had logged out and wasn't coming. They didn't bother calling me to tell me! I will never use YellowCab again.

They explicitly told me over the phone that it would cost $33 to go from Stratford to the airport. It says on the airport website that you can be charged a maximum of $40. Despite all this I was forced to pay $45. This is unacceptable, I will not be taking my service back to this joke of a taxi service and I do not recommend it whatsoever.

I booked a taxi the night before to be picked up at 4:00am for my flight.They never showed up and when I called around 4:15am to see why they are late the guy said we don’t have any records of your booking and we only have one taxi available now and he is busy . He will pick up you up when things calm down a bit. Tell that to my airplane which I almost missed because of you . Last time using your service I rather walk

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Booked a taxi and was told 25-30 minute wait. Called back after 30 minutes and was told in a very condescending voice that it was going to be an hour and after I requested the ride be cancelled they immediately hung up without a response or apology. Used a different company and got a cab in 3 minutes. Please use one of the far more reliable competitors in PEI instead of this scam service.

Called for a cab in mid December 2022 at 11:45PM. The dispatcher said it was a 30 to 45 minute wait. We weren't in a hurry so we said we were fine with the wait. The cab should have picked us up around 12:30AM, but there was no sign of our ride at that time. I called dispatch at 01:22AM, and was told I was #3 on their list for next pick-ups. We waited until after 04:00am, gave up on the cab and slept long enough for our friends to sober up to drive us home.I actually called back 24 hours later on the next night at 11:45PM and asked where the cab I ordered for Harris Street disappeared to. The dispatcher told me I was now #1 on the list for next pick-up. No cab ever showed up at the location I requested. This cab company is completely unreliable, not sure how they can even stay in business. Their dispatch office isn't even local, I have since been told they are trying to dispatch Taxi's in Charlottetown PEI from somewhere outside of Canada. If you need a ride, don't bother calling these clowns, you can hitchhike or walk and get home quicker.

I used this service a few times when I was visiting pei. The first two times, the driver took over 20 minutes to get to us. His vehicle was damaged and he didn't pay attention to safety warnings on his vehicle. The last time, we were told it would only be a few minutes. We waited 25 minutes for it and when we called to inquire where it was, we were told it would be another 25 minutes until it arrived as they only had one cab operating. It was very poor service and I would not recommend this company to my friends.

Waited almost an hour for a cab to arrive, ended up calling another service.One of the drivers mentioned getting in an accident the day prior... Probably not something you want to hear from a person you're entrusting your life to temporarily.

I booked a week in advance for a ride from Malpeque to the airport. (45 minutes drive to the airport). It was confirmed online and I called 2 hours before my pick up time 3pm to make sure they were coming. I was assured they were. It is now 3:20 and when I called I was told “we are super busy and are still trying to get a car for you” Really? So now I miss my flight I guess. Such bad service. I would not recommend!

Very slow service. Can be waiting on a cab for hours. Best to rent a car or use Uber. When you get a cab the service isn't that bad that's why I rated 2 stars.

I have tried to give Yellow Cab the benefit of the doubt but they keep failing. First time I thought no big deal, I was in a rush. Second time my husband called them to get us from a party and the cab never showed. We called again and was told the cab came and picked someone up but we were ready and waiting and no cab came. We called a third time that night when the second cab didn't arrive and were yelled at. We got a ride home when our friend called her mom.I called this weekend in advance for a specific time and after 20 minutes the cab hadn't arrived. When I tried to speak to an operator I got disconnected. I called City cab and they arrived in 7 minutes. I canceled Yellow but we had to them to bring us home after the staff party because the company was supposed to pay for Yellow Cab. We ended up sharing a cab with other people and I'm glad we did because as we were on the way home I got texts saying a cab was on the way. 40 minutes after I called. I called them back and canceled and I received at least 4 texts about different cabs on the way to get me. It was messed up. The driver told us he was sitting around for 30 minutes waiting for a destination during the time we first waited for a cab.They outsource their calls and have fewer cars available because most drivers have quit. They are completely unreliable now and I feel bad for the drivers because I know they probably get yelled at.
