I requested an outdoor 30 Amp NEMA 14-30r receptacle to be installed for plugging in an outdoor EV charger. Metcalfe accepted, but did not advise that there would be difficulty obtaining a proper outdoor enclosure for this receptacle type that could remain fully closed while in use. The problem is that the enclosure they delivered states wet locations only when hood closed". The enclosure they installed has a snap shut clip directly in-line with where the power cord emerges making it impossible to close. In addition

We called this company in a panic when part of our house lost power with no blown breakers, they did 2 service calls and diagnosed the problem. They found our main breaker burnt which could have caused a fire. great service, great guys

We have a swim spa that was throwing the breaker, and we didn’t entirely believe the pool repairman when he said it wasn’t the pool, it was the breaker itself. Still, we went ahead and did a local search and very happy to have found Metcalfe! I called late on a Friday and got a call back on Monday morning with availability for that afternoon. The team arrived on time, checked the main panel and then the outdoor breaker. Sure enough, that was the issue (good job pool guy!) and the not only replaced the breaker, but took the extra step to put some silicone sealant on a spot on the box that maybe was leaking? Better safe than sorry. They also showed us the faulty piece and explained what had likely happened.We’re back in the pool-not-pond game and very happy with Metcalfe. Would call again with any electrical needed!
