I have adopted 2 beautiful amazing dogs from Niagara Dog Rescue. I fostered with some other rescues prior to this and it was always a nightmare. Niagara made every step of the process as easy as possible and I can tell they actually care about the dogs they rescue and don't just hand them off to any ol person.

We were lucky enough to get out sweet little Susan from Niagara Dog Rescue. The whole process was smooth, communication was excellent and any questions or concerns were taken care of promptly. We will definitely be adopting another dog from Niagara Dog Rescue in the future

Most wonderful experience ever. The volunteers I worked with were so kind and approachable. I adopted my first little boy in 2018 and decided to foster a Korean boy in 2021. FAILED…lolI have referred many people to Niagara now and share the posts daily in hopes of helping other rescues to find a safe, loving home. The adoption process is so thorough that these dogs are lucky to have such great advocates. Picture has my two little Niagara boys and my Oldy but Goody, golden girl which they have put extra spark back in her life.

There’s been a few issues with adoption process within this agency. They do not thoroughly read through applications or follow up for interviews. Paper discrimination is big here so don’t set your heart on a pup (definitely apply though).I personally never received any contact about my application. Months past and we chose to adopt elsewhere. That dog is still available two years later. So sad.My co-worker had a similar experience. They never contacted her or the references. Foster mom said the dog was available but the volunteers said it was adopted. The puppy luckily got adopted but all applications were not throughly looked through.

We adopted a beautiful GSD mix from Texas. (Sandy). She is very affectionate, curious, energetic and full of life. Requires alot of attention and walks, which we enjoy. Working with NDR has proven to be a great experience. They're up front with all information needed for adopting your new family member. The transport and pick-up was quite smooth!.

Went through the process of adopting a puppy. Had my interview and my references had theirs sent in photos of our home etc. We were told there was our application and one other and that we would hear back by mid week. When I messaged to ask about the puppy multiple times after Wednesday (thinking maybe they meant by Thursday)to get a response of some sort since he would have been ready to go home that Sunday there was no response and then finally after messaging for a final time mentioning it was unprofessional to not respond they told me they were on vacation because it’s summer. Just very unprofessional to tell someone that you will contact them no matter what and then just not contact from the person and come up with some sort of excuse.I do like that they do check everything in the process and ask questions maybe some people wouldn’t think of when it comes to getting a dog but definitely need to have a better system for responding and dealing with clients.

I brought my Luffy (loo-fee) home today and have fallen in love! She's a sweet, calm, lovable bundle of joy. I really appreciate Niagara Dog Rescue for their dedication to finding loving dogs loving homes. A team of volunteers drove to Manitoba to bring my girl and a bunch of other pups back to Ontario. I'm so grateful. Highly recommend NDR!
