Stark's Golf Course

Avoid at all costs! Especially if you have kids.I never leave negative reviews so please take this to heart.I wanted to go golfing with my brother, two nephews and a family friend with his three young sons. We booked a week in advance for 18 holes and everyone was genuinely excited to have a day away from the beach to golf at a course close to the cottage we rented.The moment we got there ‘Karen’ at the front desk was giving us the riot act. We were instantly targeted because there were kids in our group (ages 13 to 3).Their initial concern was allowing children to drive the golf carts, to which we obviously adhered, and we were given grief about having a 5-some with one of the groups (2 adults and 3 children). The irony was there was a 6-some of seniors walking in the group behind us. We kept the pace of play going so we wouldn’t hold anyone up.At the turn, I wanted to order a sandwich. ‘Karen’ was extremely rude and said she had nothing prepared, which was clearly a lie because I saw a sandwich in the fridge. At this point suggested we only paid for 9 holes and would have to pay another $40 to continue our round.This is not a $80 per round golf course.Anyway, I could go on and on and on. If you want to golf around Port Rowan or Long Point Visit Otter Creek, Pine Valley or Port Dover Golf and Country Club.Avoid at all costs. If I could give a zero I would.

Absolutely terrible. This would be a 0-star review if it were possible. Staff are all incredible rude and discriminatory. I’m shocked it’s rated so highly. Would NOT recommend. Ruined a perfectly good afternoon.

Been playing this course my whole life. It's always been wonderfully maintained and poses a challenge still for a smaller golf course. It is 9 holes that of varying difficulty that is the perfect size especially for the price and has always kept every golfer I know coming back for fun.

I am new to the area. Played Stark's for the 1st time last week. Very friendly staff and the course was in great shape. A great course if you want a quick 9 holes. Will probably play this course a few more times before the season ends.

Would be no star if possible. My nephews just went here. They came back devastated. My brother in Law took them. He is a respectful person. Takes his kids golfing often and has never had an issue. They were essentially discriminated against for bringing kids. Their kart stopped working and they were chastised for holding up play, when they couldn't move the cart and no one was behind them. I was going to book here for later this week but will not. Don't think they should doing business with the lack of service/decency they experienced.

Love this course, laid back atmosphere, cool old style Clubhouse...

I went here for the first time and gad a great experience, tee times were normal and no rushing. This is a great course and I will definitely go back again.

We went for a camping trip at Long Point this summer and found this absolute gem of a golf course. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Great golf course! Course is in excellent shape and well taken care of. Most holes are par 4s with two par 5s. $30 gives you a golf cart and 1 game. Owner sanitizes and deep cleans all carts after use. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.Make sure to check their used golf clubs for sale in the pro shop. I picked up a set of Titleist DCIs with new grips for $40.

Had a quick 9 holes. Schnitzel on a bun and a couple beers with the crew. Nice evening. Congratulations Stark's on a 50th Anniversary!
